Royale with Cheese
When I was an early teen, I went through a classic rock phase. Grunge was starting to die out and other rock was okay but didn't love any of it. The movie Forest Gump actually got me into classic rock. It was filled with classic rock songs and then I bought the soundtrack. That's when I basically became a huge fan of The Doors. Any time I was in my car or in my room, I was playing classic rock, most of it The Doors and that lasted for about a year.
plenzmd1
I went through a “ philosophy and examination” phase in college. All kinds of books read about various Eastern religions and other such practices around the world. Alternated that with an obsession about learning about the Vietnam war. I read a lot of books back then LOL. Music wise was all prog rock in the late 70’s, moved to pink and alternative in fall of 81 when I arrived at college. Another Fan
Sports cards and NBA jerseys. Even jerseys of players on teams I didn’t root for. Most of the collection I threw out as I got older

At one point in time I was very much into Neil Young in all of his different iterations.

Soda Popinski
College I went through my stage of idolizing Jim Morrison and Jimmy Hendrix. That was a fun time, i just wish i had stuck with it and actually learned the guitar.

OK There's this guy I know who may or may not be known as @Gugny and his current phase is seeking out women with physical abnormalities. Could be a pronounced limp, could be a tooth jutting straight out, could be a clubfoot, webbed fingers, missing digits...you name it. There is speculation about why this person (who may or may not be...) is seeking out these freaks. The common belief is that it is an unconscious act of Darwinism in action. 2 minutes ago, teef said: i think i went through a bit of a "hippie" phase. i didn't do the no showering/white guy with dreads thing, but i did love the concerts and the scene. to be honest, i think i just really enjoyed the drugs and the parties. That's it, now we're at the crux! I think that my Neil Young phase was definitely related to the same.

Well, to some (who may or may not be...) that is not an abnormality, but I understand your confusion.

I do not believe that is possible to hold to..... had to be some line in the sand.... one was seeing him at Maple Leaf Gardens with just a Marvin-Gaye thingy funk-box in the early 80s even Neil has to be ashamed somewhere, depends on what day of the week she be... The Real Buffalo Joe
Elementary School I went through an Elvis phase. Middle School I went through a Beatles, and then Weird Al Yankovic phase (met him). High School went through a Lynyrd Skynyrd phase. When I graduated high school, I started learning guitar and went through a blues and early rock and roll (Jerry Lee Lewis, Little Richard, etc. Even got to meet my hero Chuck Berry.) Lately I've been going through a country phase. Mostly older stuff Waylon, Willie, and the boys. But some of the newer non mainstream stuff. Used to think country music was dead. It isn't dead, but most of the good stuff isn't on the radio. Not to get all PPP, but I went though a hardcore Republican phase from junior year of high school (2006), up until around the Romney vs Obama election. I never obsessed over music to the point where I had an extremely narrow interest in terms of musicians. I did obsess over muscle cars while in junior high back in the 1970's.
