Hull, Kent67 Posted March 17, 2005 Posted March 17, 2005 ESPN is reporting that Tedy Bruschi needs heart surgery. Thats too bad. Even though he plays for New England it's a shame to see a damn good player like him have that happen to him. Wish him the best of luck.
Britbillsfan Posted March 17, 2005 Posted March 17, 2005 steroids? 277539 One of the few side effects of steroids that does not exist is causing a hole in the heart. So NO. Probably was born with it but because of the more extensive tests than usual that he would have been undergoing after his stroke it is probably the first time it has been picked up.
jester43 Posted March 17, 2005 Posted March 17, 2005 but could it have been a side effect of chronic high BP? ...which is a side-effect of steroids. i'm not accusing...i am asking.
IDBillzFan Posted March 17, 2005 Posted March 17, 2005 steroids? 277539 This is a guy whose name should bug us like the name Bruce Smith should bug Miami Dolphin fans. Lately, anyway, the Bruschi name always seems to be associated in some way, shape or form with the nail in our coffin when we play the Patriots. Doctors are about to take sharp objects and fiddle around with the one organ we know, without question, you should not be fuggin' around with with sharp objects. Even if it was caused by steroids, I wouldn't be standing around saying "Well, then, he deserves this," so why even bring it up. Kick him out of the league? Fine. Yelled at and embarrassed him publicly? Okay. But heart surgery? All you can do is wish him the best.
