My friend is a trainer for world champion Alberto Machado and has been with him since day 1

He is now in camp with Freddie Roach and this has been his kid for 10+ years

Always Told me he would be a world champion and now he is... he is defending rn on HBO boxing

he is a great guy

Watched the fights tonight.

Machado is a talented guy; he won his fight easily and it probably should have been stopped at some point.

Yea he is fast and explosive... had sloppy footwork and spotty D after his last fight but the 9 months off looked like they helped

Maybe he gets Gervonta next

I have watched all big fights on HBO for years; I'll be tuning in.

Boxing offers, by far, the most interesting drama of any sport on the planet.

Yet it suffers a poor image for the reasons we all know.

Anyway, I'll be hoping for a great fight as always.

I'm still recovering from the excellent Canelo/Triple G rematch!

it's a distinct sports interest to have a personal stake in a boxer on the rise

back in the early 90s a friend of a friend, whom i had met a few times,  lost a title shot against Chris Eubank

It is. I took personal interest when my friend Jay was fighting as well but he’s too old and beat up at this point

so He lives vicariously through Machado and I’m sure he is so proud to have a huge impact training a now world champion since the beginning

I still like boxing. HBO not so much.

HBO will no longer televise boxing after 45 years in the business

That's really interesting.  One of the big reasons why I pay for HBO just got thrown in the garbage can.

Theyve grabbed top euro soccer games and cricket test matches and now boxing

Their attempts to snake the NFL last year failed miserably as they can’t deliver real time streaming adequately and NFL fans watch the games intently

Not much boxing on now that most have gone back to PPV.
Watched the Gabriel Flores Jr. fight last night in his hometown of Stockton on ESPN.
Hard not to root for this kid.
