It’s a soulless, empty city with no appreciable culture, style or cuisine. Coca Cola and Chik-fil-A, and you claim no cuisine?! It's a wonder the Second Civil War hasn't broken out! 3

Detroit, GB, Cincinatti, Oakland and Jacksonville are all in the mix. Well obviously Buffalo wouldn't be paradise for a pure vacation but is it really that boring for a football trip? There are lots of bars and awesome places to go out and get pub food(having awesome food spots is a big plus any football trip), if it's just the boys going you can catch the Canadian Ballet(which I know is a huge draw when out of towners come in for Bills games) we've got some Casinos in the area and just the nature of Buffalo filled with passionate football fans everywhere I would like to think Buffalo would be considered a fun city for a football game. 3

Yeah, disagree with Buffalo too. Every time I brought someone to a game and partied the weekend before they all had an excellent time. Some folks like to bash the area, pretty unwarranted in my opinion. Maybe they haven’t done much traveling to compare? Edited July 20, 2018 by Bobby Hooks 2

Are we talking football trip?!? If so Buffalo is nowhere near that list. That is one of the best trips. I thought we were talking as a city all year. 1

I am nothing but delighted you caught my nonsensical quip ! : ) It was actually for fun. who the heck knows about other cities and how boring they may or may not be ? you lived in Baltimore, and that may be your best comparison to Buffalo. Most of us are not globetrotters and able to discern the nightlife and fun factors in other cities. silly thread. i had a silly answer and now you know my character. or lack thereof ☺️ 1

Maybe they haven’t done much traveling to compare? Exactly. I know Buffalo is an away game destination for fans of other teams because of the atmosphere the area and the stadium have. I have been in big cities before wearing a Bills hat and have had people strike up conversations with me saying that they really wanna make it out to Buffalo for a game someday

Oh Geez I've misinterpreted this whole topic from the start When you said NFL city I thought you were talking about the experience of heading out to that city for an NFL weekend, I may have inadvertently hi-jacked your original topic a bit, my apologies!

Buffalo for a football game is a great experience but it is at, or near, the bottom of the league the rest of the year.

3rdand12 Posted July 20, 2018 Posted July 20, 2018 perhaps fun is where you find it ? people really make the difference. Find a local to give you a tour and i bet you find gems. I used to travel years ago for work. Installation projects and such. Mostly working trips. But grab a local who loves their city? and you are bound to enjoy the visit.

I’ve never like Indianapolis but I’ve only been there a few times. Any city that you don’t know that well will come across as underwhelming. I was there for work a few times and did the St. Elmo’s thing. We hit a Pacers game, a trendy sushi place where the athletes were (we were actually their 1st ever customers) and some bars. It was okay but if I went with a local I’m sure it would have been better.

So, short of friends and a football team, which NFL city is your least desirable destination?
MiltonWaddams Posted July 20, 2018 Posted July 20, 2018 What about Minneapolis/St Paul? Going for the game and not really finding much to do there aside from a big mall...which is not in Minny really... and Paisley Park (Princes house) which is also not in Minneapolis. One of their "must-dos" is a flour production museum. Woohoo! 1
