plenzmd1 Posted July 20, 2018 Posted July 20, 2018 Just wanted to give DC area folks a heads up...last-minute Hamilton tickets can be had at pretty good prices!!! We went last night and paid about 65% of face value. Look at both Stubhub and The Kennedy Center site..still lots of tickets directly from the Kennedy center..but last minute prolly better off on Stubhub...and fees are about the same at both places? BTW, my first time seeing the show..and it is as good as advertised! Just awesome show and a great night out.
Ridgewaycynic2013 Posted July 20, 2018 Posted July 20, 2018 And here I was going to say you would be better flying out of Toronto. You can get a direct flight.
Ned Flanders Posted July 20, 2018 Posted July 20, 2018 We're members of the KC and when tickets went on sale to members, we missed out, but got them when they went on sale to the general public. Very weird.
Fadingpain Posted July 20, 2018 Posted July 20, 2018 Had season tickets to the National Opera for many years. Love the Kennedy Center and never saw anything bad in it. Compared to many big cities these days, most of the people at the opera dress properly, which I always enjoyed. Haven't seen Hamilton but it sounds great.

Seasons1992 Posted July 20, 2018 Posted July 20, 2018 I've not seen it in person, but my friend bought the vinyl box set over Xmas and I've listened to it a couple of times. Certainly powerful and I bet in person would be amazing. (And yes, there's a LOT of record-flipping!)

boyst Posted July 21, 2018 Posted July 21, 2018 A friend of mine retired from StubHub making $160k a year to broker tickets. He is just doing Hamilton clearing $30k a month doing so. Can't understand the draw to this to save my life. He sells at 1200% markup on average.
