I think that was the sign he was done, surprised it took this long for the retirement. Always wondered what made him a stud, smartest guy on the field or best athlete. Get this tells the story. Chalres Woodson was both I guess, Explaining his longevity
SoCal Deek Posted July 18, 2018 Posted July 18, 2018 So it's official then....Rex Ryan is not coming back to Buffalo.
BuffaloRush Posted July 18, 2018 Posted July 18, 2018 Revis had a pretty decent season when he returned to NYJ in 2015 but year he completely fell off a cliff the next year. I just remember him getting torched by Marquis Goodwin in the Thursday night home opener 1
Buddo Posted July 18, 2018 Posted July 18, 2018 Stevie Johnson gave him plenty of difficulty. I thought he was over-hyped and overrated. Undoubtedly very good, just not as good as he thought he was. As evidenced by his retirement statement, his ego was actually larger than his talent, and he was very talented. 1
Chandler#81 Posted July 18, 2018 Posted July 18, 2018 2 years too late. Hurt his HOF consideration, IMO.

TigerJ Posted July 19, 2018 Posted July 19, 2018 He was never the fastest of CBs. He was great because he was smart. His anticipation and technique were unsurpassed, but there comes a time in a player's career when anticipation and technique cannot compensate for decline=ing physical ability. In the end, Father Time gets us all.
RocCityRoller Posted July 19, 2018 Posted July 19, 2018 excellent player, a respected divisional rival. I think Stevie Johnson may have he best per game career stats against him. Those were fun match-ups to watch.

Stevie really played him well and routinely got 100 yard games against him 1

Thurman Thomas had a greater impact ‘Changing the game’ IMO and he didn’t go Year 1.
