Fadingpain Posted July 18, 2018 Posted July 18, 2018 (edited) I've been hoping Tom Brady will fall off that same cliff for quite some time! Edited July 18, 2018 by Fadingpain 2 1 1 1

CommonCents Posted July 18, 2018 Posted July 18, 2018 (edited) He put on weight that one offseason and was never the same. Seeing guys like PP lose weight as they get older only makes sense. Edited July 18, 2018 by Commonsense
Wo-Bah Posted July 18, 2018 Posted July 18, 2018 If you ask me (which many don't) I think he went down hill the year Sammy torched him. 1
billsbackto81 Posted July 18, 2018 Posted July 18, 2018 (edited) Like him or not he was about complete a CB that ever played. Man or Zone. Had it all, speed, anticipation, hands, fluidity and a sure tackler. Also made a fortune due to the fact that he was never afraid to bet on himself which always allowed him to parlay that confidence into multiple big contract payday. Still enjoyed watching Sammy corkscrew him into the turf Edited July 18, 2018 by billsbackto81 1
Marv's Neighbor Posted July 18, 2018 Posted July 18, 2018 He didn't really retire, just got voted off his island. 3 2
John from Riverside Posted July 18, 2018 Posted July 18, 2018 I am glad he did this One of the best ever....hated seeing him get his legacy tarnished like it has in recent years. Might still have been a crackerjack safety 1
hondo in seattle Posted July 18, 2018 Posted July 18, 2018 For me, most opposing players are just faceless guys. Just another name filling a position. Revis was different. He was such a master of his craft and a joy to watch - when he wasn't shutting down Bills WRs.
Kirby Jackson Posted July 18, 2018 Posted July 18, 2018 These guys keep retiring that I already thought were retired. Roy Hibbert retired this week!! I don’t remember seeing him in a game since like 2015. 1
thenorthremembers Posted July 18, 2018 Posted July 18, 2018 Going to be honest, always thought he was overrated. Felt like he was one of those players the media hypes dramatically and the legend just kind of caught on. Not saying he wasn't a good defensive back, just never thought he was as elite and legendary as everyone seemed to make him out to be. In my opinion guys like Charles Woodson, Deion Sanders, Champ Bailey, Rod Woodson and Ty Law were all better. Revis was more on par with Darrell Green, who played at that level for a much longer time. Still makes the Hall of Fame, but not sure I want to get overly excited over a guy who is 225th on the all time interception list. I am sure people will say he didnt have those numbers because offenses respected his side of the field so much, just my opinion. 2

Might still have been a crackerjack safety Chiefs played him at safety last year and he was awful. I think that was the sign he was done, surprised it took this long for the retirement.
