Would one expect Devin Nunes to debate a partisan hack like Seth Abramson if Abramson offered? Hell no. Why should Ocasio debate a partisan hack like Shapiro?

I like how the idea of a debate means bad intentions.

And the comparison of offering to debate with catcalling seems pretty spot on to me.

there is no right to have a debate, it's nice when you get it, but it has been avoided in a few campaigns

Pretty sure I didn't suggest there was a right to a debate.

In fact she'd be monumentally dumb to debate Shapiro.

But the idea that a challenge to a debate means bad intentions on the challenger's behalf or that it's at all akin to a catcall is absurd.

She knows better. She could barely debate Tibs. She wouldn't last 5 minutes with Shapiro.

absurd yes.

this kind of talk (or twit or whatevet) does NOTHING but perpetuate and stoke the binary boys vs girls trumped up struggle we find ourselves in now.

I thought until about 5 or 6 years ago boys vs girls ended in middle school.

i understand women's gripes about discrimination etc. But that's not whAt this is. This  moment shows she's just like the rest of them.

She is a good one. Just compare her to that idiot the Republicans made speaker of the house and had as a VP nominee! D-Bag Ryan is already running for the door, drowning in incompetence and acquiescing in obstruction, no wonder he can't wait to leave.

She represents the diversity of a party that represents the changing nature of America. Well spoken, very smart and radiating energy. Good bye Paul Ryan, you will not be missed; Hello the future!

You had better pray she wins.  Incumbent Joe Crowley even though he's not really running will be on the ballot as a 3rd party candidate.  Anthony Pappas is running as a Republican  but not campaigning aggressively.  Can you imagine if either of the 2 old white guys wins because voters reject the clueless 28 year socialist?
