Yes, the "something weird" is that the victim supposedly believed Shady was behind the attack yet didn't even contact him?  I mean, we've all been around angry women before and keeping their mouths shut isn't exactly their forte.  You don't think she would have texted a "how could you do this" or "you sonofabitch" type of message if she "really" thought it was him?  I still say set up.  If Shady really did orchestrate the incident he's got ice water in his veins.

Good point.

Hard to follow it all, but it's looking much better for Shady than when news come out, especially with the White Knight Lynch Mob out in full force on social media and even in here. Anyway, let's wait for facts and a real investigation! If nothing is found on McCoy, I can't see why the NFL would punish him in any way. It's a case where he is involved or not all, no in betweens.

We obviously have different definitions of the word "entertainment."  I'd rather be having this discussion about a player I despise.

From what I've heard, the hearing was already postponed until August.  It's not clear.

And re-reading Cordon's description of the attacker (“He sounded … I don’t know, he was a little guy") makes me think she's saying the perp was young, and she probably would know her son's voice, so it could have been a friend of his.

If you were not entertained, you wouldn't be posting or responding to posts.  What else are we here for?

The nfl would do its own investigation to determine punishment .... if they did decide to suspend according to the personal conduct policy (assuming there aren’t criminal findings) they would need so present their findings as to why (as they did with Zeke). It typically takes a very long time and I actually don’t think he would be placed on the exempt list given the nature of what we know now.

Didn't Zeke's investigation take over a year from the NFL?

Yes it did. NFL started its investigation in July 2016 and his suspension came down August 2017.

I'm not skimming 167 pages to see if it's been said, but it could have been worse... she could have been refusing to leave Jenoris Jenkins' house.

Ah, so you meant the discussion was entertaining. Yeah, OK. You’ve shown yourself enough for everyone to know differently, WEO.

I dunno, if nothing changes by the week of training camp, i.e. no suspect caught, I'm thinking he's placed on the exempt list.  Just a hunch but I hope I'm wrong.

This in a nutshell is what I keep coming back to.  Someone needs to define what the conduct actually is that violated NFL policy.  If the NFL tried to put him on the exempt list without an ounce of evidence, they would get sued.  Thus far, there is nothing but an Instagram allegation that was retracted, restated, and then retracted again.  That, quite frankly, isn't evidence.  Tell me that they have the guy in custody that did the robbery and you could make a compelling argument that there's "facts" that could make that happen.  Until then, it's no more proof than saying that McCoy is actually Princess Ariel from Frozen.  I see your baseless statement and raise you an eye roll.  LOL.

Good luck with that...this bunch can't even define a "catch."

My point is that there has to be something.  For Elliott, there were police reports and evidence of D.V.  The exempt list is for "unusual circumstances" per NFLPA conduct agreement, and not some bat **** crazy woman "believing" that somehow her ex must be connected to a home robbery.

Even Zeke wasn’t placed on the exempt list

I could have used a different example.  Didn't realize he was not.  So Adrian Peterson, Pacman Jones, Ray Rice....

Yeah I’m just not sure why they were and Zeke wasn’t

While I've read the NFLPA Agreement in it's entirety for laughs (no joke), I don't recall the fine points of the exempt list.

I honestly don’t think there are any fine points. Seems like an option the commissioner has (but the team does not) and no criteria around when it is used
