I have no idea who TJ Carpenter might be.......and I hope I never find out.

He appears to be Denver sports radio guy with a show called "Dumpster Fire".    How appropriate...

Agreed, one of the stupidest tweets I’ve seen in a while, and that’s saying something.

Either way pretty dumb.

Definitely not in taste at all.

I'll agree that innocent people have nothing to hide and they are certainly not required to have a lawyer protect them.  However, they are entitled to legal representation so to me him hiring a lawyer doesn't say anything regarding his guilt or innocence.  It just says he hired a lawyer.

He would be an idiot not to, guilty or innocent. It would be inexplicably stupid and reckless to not hire the best money can buy.

the best thing for shady about hiring a lawyer.....he can blame the lawyer for not being able to talk about it.

I'd remain silent if it were me. Let them charge me with something before I talk.

I'm sorry, but what normal victim's first response to being brutally beaten would be to bypass going to the cops, and instead hiring an attorney to put out a press release?  Also, the speed of which she retained an attorney and pumped out said release begs the question whether she had this planned in advance of the "attack".  Sure, it's entirely possible that this woman drove him insane to the point where he hired a "hit" on her, but her actions leading up to and following her injuries are incredibly fishy.

Didn't say I believed it.  Just wanted to share the stupidity.

How tragicomic would it be if McCoy hired someone to execute a hit on his ex...and he literally hit her with the gun?

"I said Hitman! Not hit, man!"

Who is going to want to employ a player that has been charged in connection with this?

That would be disastrous PR for the team and league.

Five years ago, sure. Not now. No way.

Depends on how clearly innocent he can be proven.

If it's clearly that she faked it all then I'm sure he'll have a job.

I wonder if the robber never existed at all?  Maybe....she's a schizo.  We've all seen Fight Club.

I said this to my wife last night...

"I wonder if she went fight club in the bathroom after the home invader locked her in there"

I have no idea whether any of this stuff is true or false.

I don't see the point of that tweet.  Is he accusing her of making it all up?  Is he saying she has bad taste wrt men?  Is he saying she has bad luck?  Is he saying she somehow deserves it?

It seems to me he is just throwing something out there into the breeze because......Twitter.

I have no idea who TJ Carpenter might be.......and I hope I never find out.

I think he's just a random dude.  I just found it interesting that she's been passed around it seems like.

As are his. The incident happened at 3 in the morning on a property he owns. The friend didn’t go nuts with the Instagram post until what? 1030am? McCoy was awake and on his own Twitter at 6am? He never contacted her? Even if you have fallen out of love with someone you’d check, partly because that’s your home and you want to know what went down. Your suing for jewelry and a “random”

burgular may have taken it, yeah no concern of his.

Yeah, he definitely did it. If you have nothing to hide, you have nothing to worry about. He's definitely hiding something.

Why would he know what happened?  Who told him?

I wake up this morning and the OP still isn't updating with current news on page 1 AND this thread didn't reach 100 pages.

Disappointed on 2 fronts.

So, what's the update??? Remember how this started yesterday morning with the supposed picture evidence that McCoy himself physically assaulted her

It's entirely possible that someone connected to both told McCoy about the allegations before they went public, so he didn't contact her.
