Look where it has already gotten us already. It's a **** show. And your reason could be said about every single Justice on the Court, if you believe that special interests buy and sell Judicial power. I tend to think that special interests follow Justices, not lead them. But you can keep up the cynic routine, the board needs a foil or two. 1

Democrats have been stalling as much as they possibly can - "She's anonymous, she won't testify. She will testify, but not until the FBI investigates. She will testify, but she can't fly to DC. Here's her list of demands for testifying. She'll testify, but no senators can ask her questions, but she'll only take questions from senators." Ask yourself why that is? To give Trump more time to say or tweet something stupid. That's usually the primary goal of the opposition party over the years through all these Senate hearings and investigations filled with fake outrage by the opposing party. Try to find a way to make the president (or the next likely candidate in Hillary's case) less popular. 1

If you cast politics as an ultimate struggle between good and evil, then nothing is prohibited. That - the political struggle between absolute good and absolute evil - is the basic dynamic of the French Revolution, the Russian Revolution, the Khmer Rouge, the Holocaust... They're not good examples for baskin to be following. 1 minute ago, Doc Brown said: To give Trump more time to say or tweet something stupid. Trump's twitter idiocy is probably at a saturation point - everyone has an opinion, no one's changing it. But close. It is electoral politics. Democrats are hoping to control the Senate in November, and keep that seat vacant until 2021 for President Warren's nomination. Once this is resolved, however it's resolved, you'll never hear another thing about these women. Because no one cares about the accusations, just the politics. 1

Which in their mind is why Trump saying something stupid will help their chances with election season coming up. Riling up women voters is the goal here and there's nobody like Trump to get a rise out of people and get them to the polls. I think Senate Democrats know the seat will probably filled before January, but they have their eye on the next Supreme Court seat if something happens to Ginsburg. Controlling the Senate ensures they'll have another Merrick Garland type situation come the 2020 election if something happens to one of the four left leaning Supreme Court justices. One of the remarkable things about our mainly two-party system is that each side thinks it wears the "white hat". It has been a saving grace as one party takes power and then cedes it to the other, but it is sadly turning into the beginning of our demise. The 2016 post-election temper tantrum has just about morphed us into a country where we don't have a peaceful transition of power. The midterms will be the next push toward the cliff edge, and 2020 will take us to the bottom if Trump wins re-election. 1

Those mean old white men (Republicans) won't allow a woman to speak. Because they hate women and want to keep them barefoot and pregnant. That's just the way old white men roll. Everybody knows that.

Yeah. That's the political play and Trump is the target as the face of the party.

Pretty sure Baskin didn't get Doc's joke. He called the slut a "mouthpiece". In other words, a piece of mouth, Baskin. Similar to a piece of ass. Do you need me to spell it out further, Baskin?
