The gallery is brought in every 5 minutes to observe democracy in action as the guests of the congressional delegates.

Watch Mr Smith goes to watching you ignorant swine.

I've watched it a number of times, but I don't see the significance....

But that's not true. Bill Gates lives in a relatively populous state while the dude living under the overpass in Wyoming does not. So the dude living under the overpass in Cheyenne has MORE of a say than Bill Gates based on the electoral college.

Not only that, the dude living under the overpass in Cheyenne is represented by the same number of senators as the overpass dwelling transient in Los Angeles despite the fact that 20 million people live in CA compared to 580k in Wyoming.

The whole system has allowed Bridgy Bill in Cheyenne to choose our leaders; thus Trump.

The fact that you continue to analyze the electoral college by individual votes shows that you really don't understand the US Constitution at all.

Prediction:  If Democrats retake all three branches they will increase the number of Supreme Court Justices to give them a majority citing McConnell's refusal to hold a vote on Garland as the betrayal of 150 years of an unspoken agreement between the parties of the Supreme Court appointment process.

Easy on him... As you know, kids are taught now that our nation is a democracy so the ignorance is only partially self inflicted....

Montana Senator at his daughter's funeral was one non-vote

Murkowski voted an Obamaesque "present"

And when the pendulum swings back again the Republicans follow suit

When does it stop?

It wasn't. The Democrats started to revolt against FDR, so he dropped it. The Constitution does not specify the number or makeup of federal courts (including the Supreme Court.) It's up to Congress to legislate how many district courts, circuit courts and supreme court justices there are.

I'd consider a wedding to be the end of one person's life therefore a funeral.
