You'd think Menendez would have some empathy for Kavanaugh after loudly insisting that he was falsely accused for years. Such a statesman, he is.

I know what I'm writing is not possible, but it's almost like the entire GOP grew a spine once McCain was gone.

This new group of old white ass-kickers is starting to grow on me.

Republicans should confer ahead of the floor vote to see if they have enough votes to confirm.  If the Republicans know they have enough votes going into the vote, Mike Pence should personally preside over the proceedings (as is his prerogative as Vice President)

Upon confirmation Pence and the Senate Republicans should bust out with

Quote

We were college classmates and drinking buddies with Supreme Court nominee Brett M. Kavanaugh. In the past week, all three of us decided separately to respond to questions from the media regarding Brett’s honesty, or lack thereof. In each of our cases, it was his public statements during a Fox News TV interview and his sworn testimony before the Senate Judiciary Committee that prompted us to speak out.

We each asserted that Brett lied to the Senate by stating, under oath, that he never drank to the point of forgetting what he was doing. We said, unequivocally, that each of us, on numerous occasions, had seen Brett stumbling drunk to the point that it would be impossible for him to state with any degree of certainty that he remembered everything that he did when drunk.

Umm pretty sure that wouldnt be enough to prove perjury, if their statements are in fact true. How can someone prove what state another person is in? it's impossible.

And what were his drinking buddies doing during this time, staying sober? If they were drinking then that calls into question their statements as well

It's amazing how that's what you got out of what I said.  You are just looking too hard to find something that isn't there
