This has touched a social media meme nerve. My wife, who hates Kavanaugh’s politics, liked him until this week and thought he should be nominated. But then heard him testify and found him self/centered, thin skinned, defensive, and does not believe he is honest. I probed it a little (hard to do since we disagree on this), and a lot comes from her feelings similar to what you posted mounting roughly to “Men don’t get it.” She doesn’t know if he did it for sure but she feels he’s a liar AND he does not understand the issue he finds himself in the middle of, and his selfish anger infuriated her. I see others offering anecdotal stories opposed to this. Just sharing mine. Edited September 30, 2018 by BeginnersMind

Ridiculous. You would come off as angry too if you were accused of sexual assault. Kavanaugh is fighting for his life because the scumbag Democrats are little bitches who can't stand not having power. Kavanaugh has EVERY right to be angry. Case closed. 2

She "feels" he is a liar and self centered. So there's no proof that he's a liar and he's self centered during a hearing about him? Ask your wife for me if she was accused of molesting little boys if she might be a little thin skinned and defensive. 2

This sounds like the typical liberal "I was going to vote for <insert moderate Republican eunuch> until he said x, so now I'm voting for the socialist." Criticizing a man falsely accused of sexual assault for his temperament in defending himself is the equivalent of criticizing a rape victim for being emotional when recounting her story. Your wife sounds like a real peach. 29 minutes ago, DC Tom said: I can guarantee that anybody who's falsely accused of sexual assault is going to come across as self-centered, thin-skinned, and defensive. Kavanaugh's an !@#$ because he's standing his ground, and he won't back down.

Even though I didn't do any of this, I COULD have, and I shouldn't be so sensitive to the attempts to destroy myself, my family, and my life, and think more about the people I never victimized in these events that never happened."

But I certainly was defensive and and self-centered when I was explaining that I didn't do it. Of course, it helped me be sympathetic that when I was accused, I was accused by the victim seeking justice through the criminal justice system, and not by Dianne !@#$ing Feinstein trying to derail a Senate confirmation and destroy me. I think if the latter case were true, I would have felt far less sympathy.

Dr. Ford claimed that 4 other people could testify to it happening but not one of them could or would back her up. To the dems the only 2 relevant matters here are that Kavanaugh is a conservative judge and they are democrats. Every one of the ten democrats on the Judiciary Committee have been deliberately disingenuous. Let this settle in: they were willing to trash a man's reputation without any corroborating evidence whatsoever in order to achieve their own political goals. Every last one of them will carry this shame for the rest of their life. The dems need to be made to pay dearly for the crap that they are trying to pull off. You wrongly assume they feel shame. The current left are very similar to the communists that, when they achieved their hold on power in Russia and China, killed millions of their own citizens to purge the potentially disloyal and those deemed inconvenient. 1
