Ford testified last week that she had never revealed the details of the alleged attack until 2012, when she was in couples therapy with her husband. She said the memories percolated up as they revisited a disagreement they’d had over her insistence on installing a “second front door" when they had remodeled their Palo Alto, Calif., home.

But documents reveal the door was installed years before as part of an addition, and has been used by renters and even a marriage counseling business.

“The door was not an escape route but an entrance route,” said an attorney familiar with the ongoing congressional investigation. “It appears the real plan for the second front door was to rent out a separate room."

Renovation Records Undercut Ford's Exit-Door Account

Palo Alto city records show that a building permit for an additional room and exterior door was issued to Ford and her husband on Feb. 4, 2008 — more than four years before the May 2012 therapy session where, she says, she first identified Kavanaugh as her attacker.

Based on what I bolded, this doesn't seem to be a contradiction (unless otherwise contradicted in a separate document/testimony.) Not to defend her, as I think it's definitely a ruse, but it is possible that they were in marriage counseling for other issues and the problem with the door came up in an unrelated fashion.

It's almost like Ford never considered that anyone would question her accounts of things. I mean, it's just weird that she has all her dates mixed up after all these accounts she's given. You would think at one point her husband would have said "Y'know, we did those doors 10 years ago, not six."

Yeah, I posted about this a few days ago when I found it in a Mollie Hemingway thread. She lied under oath, plain and simple.

Well, it looks like the big one finally dropped.

A stripper doing a sex act at a Yale frat house the same time Kavanaugh attended Yale. There were witnesses and everything!

I mean, they didn't witness Kavanaugh at the event, but he was attending the college at the time, so, well, me and my friend have a story to tell ifyou're interested. Oh, and hey, can I get one of those GoFundMe Commemorative Accounts that everyone seems to get these days?

"FORD CAUGHT IN MAJOR LIE? — City Remodeling Permits Show Project She Linked to Kavanaugh Was in 2008 NOT 2012"

I found that when I clicked on a Mollie Hemingway Twitter link someone (DR?) posted.

Her selective memory should have been shocked to the core if the opening questioning asked about her and her father's close ties to the CIA and whether she had received any direct or indirect communication from John Brennan about the Kavanaugh nomination.

Drain the swamp? How is Kavanaugh not a typical elitist?

Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh said underoath that he had “no connections” to Yale prior to attending, arguing that hard work and ambition were the sole factors leading him to study at the prestigious institution of higher education.

However, that statement is verifiably untrue. In fact, Kavanaugh would be classified as a legacy student, because his grandfather Everett Edward Kavanaugh also attended Yale as an undergraduate student, The Intercept reported on Saturday, sharing an image of a 1928 yearbook.

“I have no connections there. I got there by busting my tail,” Kavanaugh, who currently serves as a federal judge, said while testifying before the Senate Judiciary Committee last week.

Even a legacy has to pull his weight once in place.  That aside I think the benefit of being a legacy is overblown.  If a kid majored in shop during high school and only pulled a C legacy or not his future is certainly not guaranteed for college.

More to the point, look at what you're talking about. We've gone from sexual assault to "he's a typical elitist!"

Not really.  I can't speak for Yale but I know Cornell alums that could not get a spot for their kid and I would imagine that it is not automatic a legacy gets into Harvard or Yale.  That aside the legacy bit works best when the alum still has connections on the inside.  If Grandpa graduated in 1928 and Brett did not get admitted until 1988 the odds are pretty good that grandpa's connections have long left the scene.

This is what I'm talking about.  He heard these "partisan" comments from the beginning and he didn't make that a focal point.  Now that he is speaking with more liberals and that he is finally getting love from somewhere, I just see him voting with the Dems.

He has effectively moved the goal posts.

Now it's up to Murkowski, Collins, Heidkamp and Manchin.     Flake in my view is out.
