President Donald J. Trump's Supreme Court Associate Justice Kavanaugh

Classy members of right wing have stepped forward, I see.

Quote

“In the 36 hours since her name became public, Dr. Ford has received a stunning amount of support from her community and from fellow citizens across our country. At the same time, however, her worst fears have materialized,” the letter said. “She has been the target of vicious harassment and even death threats. As a result of these kind of threats, her family was forced to relocate out of their home. Her email has been hacked, and she has been impersonated online.”

There's exactly as much evidence of that as there is of Ms. Ford's rather ridiculous story that he attempted to rape her at some unspecified date, time, and location 35ish years ago.

Not really. Ford overplayed Feinstein's hand. Before she came forward, the Democrats could keep teasing the 'anonymous' letter and release more details as it became convenient to put pressure on Grassley/McConnell to delay the vote - while also giving political cover for the Democrat Senators at risk of being ousted in November to not vote for Kavanaugh. The dingbat coming forward gave the GOP someone to investigate, someone whose credibility could be challenged, and gave Grassley someone to invite to be heard and questioned by the committee. When Ford refuses to appear on Monday, her story is dead in the water.

This story is not dead in the water.  It would be if people were rational, but Feinstein's supporters are a gaggle of emotionally-driven children.  This story only builds momentum as their outrage increases - which it will when Kavanaugh's confirmed.

Feinstein's walking back her support because she needs to start giving the impression of being more level-headed for her 2020 presidential run, and she can afford to now that she's got everything out of this story that she needs to: reinforced the "Republican War on Women" narrative, delayed the Kavanaugh hearings as much as she is able, demonstrated that "the rule of law no longer applies" and "the FBI has been corrupted into a political organization" by the Trump Administration...

Yes to the then 87 year old presidential candidate. Senility is what we are missing in the WH.

You're right. I do tend to overestimate the average liberal's ability to think.

I refuse to testify at a Congressional hearing about how Senator Feinstein raped me when I was still in high school in 1965 until the FBI conducts a full investigation into the matter. #METHREE

#methree?? is that like a tag for an orgy or sumfin'?

She's not running for President.  You thought those videos of Hillary stumbling around were bad?  Prying a sarcophagus open backstage before speeches and debates is worse.

An 85 year old presidential candidate is just what this country needs! (87 in 2020 whoohoo!)

Ford has more evidence, but not by much.

We will see. I suspect we're 70-30 on her testifying. She will be under a lot of pressure to appear from the left. If she doesn't, the nomination sails through.
