Umm...did YOU give him that nickname/description?

I don’t get out much, but I’d never heard that

I read it here on TBD.  So it's true.

That’s either an astounding memory, or maybe something more which I will not even try to describe.     ?

Let's go with the memory, please.

Cool, we’ll leave fascination, preoccupation and obsession out of it. You’ve got an AMAZING memory!!!  ?

Packers fans being "Cheese heads" is one of my favorites.

OJ Simpson being "the Juice" was always memorable.

"He Hate Me" from the XFL still is a standout. His was one of the only ones people still remember.

Chad "Ochocinco" was funny in a stupid way, mainly because he legally got his name changed (and it translated to "Eight Five" instead of "Eighty Five" like he wanted)...

The best Bills one though is "The Amish Rifle" for Fitzpatrick though. That one is pretty unique.

Fitzmagic and Fitztragic.  Both were appropriate at different times

I actually preferred "The Amish Rifle."

Great athletes used to need 3 or more nicknames - the Babe, the Bambino, the Sultan of Swat;  The Kid, The Splendid Splinter, Teddy Ballgame;  Joe D, The Yankee Clipper, Joltin' Joe.

Now, the nickname machine is lame.  So, many just using initials.  WTF - we've already had two LTs already.  That ain't right!

College football "nicnames"

Florida State = CrimiNoles

the "N" on the Nebraska helmet = "Nowledge"

the "OU" on the Oklahoma helmet = "Onor Ull" s/b Honor Roll

USF = University SOMEWHERE in Florida because Tampa is not in "South" Florida

Oklahoma State = DMU = Dexter Manley University

I started that Nebraska joke. In early 80's.
