Collins: Won't support SCOTUS pick hostile to abortion rights

Washington (CNN)Republican Sen. Susan Collins, a key vote in the coming Supreme Court confirmation fight, said Sunday she would not support a nominee hostile to the landmark abortion ruling in Roe v. Wade

"The President really was soliciting my views on the type of nominee that I was looking for," Collins said. "I emphasized that I wanted a nominee who would respect precedent, a fundamental tenet of our judicial system."

We need more planned parenthood clinics in targeted areas.

See the new @USSupremeCourt clearly: Abortion illegal; doctors prosecuted; gay people barred from restaurants, hotels, stores; African-Americans out of elite schools; gun control banned in 50 states; the end of regulatory state. My @NewYorker column.

Please remember that this hysterical lunatic is one of CNN’s primary Supreme Court analysts...

Also.........is he saying that African Americans cannot be in elite schools except by the help of SCOTUS?

His twitter account has a banner that says "From the bestselling author whose book The Run of His Life inspired the FX drama "The People vs. O.J. Simpson..."

Really?  Like no one ever thought about a docu-drama about OJ until he wrote a book?  Could he be any more of a self-centered little twerp?

In all fairness, if you work at CNN, it's a little hard to get attention...what with Jim Acosta yelling at everyone all the time.

The Federalist Society has picked its list for Trump. There needs to be a complete and transparent look at what this society is using to pick these people, what financial dealings the leaders of this society have before the courts, what discussions were had in relation to the pick.

The pick also also needs to promise to recuse themselves from any matters relating to Trumps criminal investigation.

A criminal cannot be allowed to choose the judges that might have to rule on self-pardons, ignoring subpoenas, pardoning his buddies and other issues of executive privilege.

You are a drunken POS who can't even ignore me correctly. You have said time and again I was on ignore, now put me on ignore and go drink yourself into another stupor and pass out of the park bench and don't reply to my posts.

It amazes me that the fringe on both sides still gets anxious over Roe v. Wade in 2018.

The Supreme Court isn't going to touch that case ever again, regardless of who is on it.  They aren't in the business of overturning one of their own decisions.  It'd be like rewriting a chapter of the Bible to "reflect modern viewpoints."
