I would think 0.  By the way I really like your new Avatar!

Thanks, me too. I was at the draft and Pancho announcing that pick was amazing.

I could only roll with the Clowns starting Quarterback for so long.

How many did it in one half before getting unceremoniously benched?

He sucked.

But why was he even on the field?

In 5 weeks time does 42, 36 and 34 ring a bell?

I bet it was!  I was home whipping a shirt sleeve on my face.  I envy you being at this years draft.

Peterman's career is done. It's over. You never recover from throwing 5 picks in one half, even a seasoned veteran. Mentally, the effects are devastating. Jay Schroeder, a Pro Bowl QB, threw 5 picks in the 1990 AFC Championship vs Buffalo, and he never recovered. Went from a career high 90.8 QB rating that year to 71.4 in 1991 and never higher again.

Annotated list of QBs who have thrown 5 interceptions in a game:

Dan Fouts

Dan Marino

Bart Starr

George Blanda

Joe Namath

Brett Favre

Matt Ryan

Drew Brees

Ben Roethlisberger

Matthew Stafford

Kurt Warner

Johnny Unitas

Ken Stabler

Joe Ferguson

Peyton Manning

Warren Moon

John Elway

How many did it in their first half ever? Brett Favre started 298 games. It’s reasonable to throw 5 INTs in a game over almost 19 seasons. It’s really not the same as your first 14 pass attempts. Favre attempted 10,169 passes. Those things aren’t really comparable.

I’d like to see the stats of guys picked 191 or later that threw 5 INTs in their first 14 attempts that went on to have great careers? That would be an interesting list.

I think we have a crystal clear understanding of your agenda. Between the bolded statement above, and your admission that you were predicting the Bills would draft Peterman, you have pretty much shown your hand.

I mentioned earlier that this reminded me of the EJ debate. But, the EJ fanatics had a lot more to go on than you. Don’t expect a lot of company on your crusade, which I predict will be short-lived.

What on earth are you talking about???

Since the "agenda" has been made crystal clear, please explain to me what that agenda is, because I don't know what you are talking about.

I never predicted that the Bills would draft Peterman, I suggested that the Bills should draft him and they ended up doing it.

The McDermott hire was more so a prediction, because I narrowed the hires down to two choices, one being McDermott and then it happened.

Agenda?

I’m not putting Peterman in the HOF, or even on the practice squad, but the position they put him in against the Chargers last year is unconscionable, for so many reasons. I’m a big fan of our FO so far, but that was a serious head scratcher.

If Peterman doesn't start week 1, DO NOT put him on the practice squad. He is going to be snatched up in a hurry......?

I hope so and that he starts against us.  Our DBs could use more picks.

Poor decision is still too generous. I’m hoping it was Rico beating the Peterman drum on that and swayed McDermott grudgingly to give it a shot.

Yes mcprocess is still accountable, but I’m just hoping the impetus for the stupidity wasn’t from the guys still running the show.

Maybe the pushing for P5t5rman to start is what was enough of a factor to make decision to let go our former OC easy.

If you wanted Peterman drafted I get why you are sticking by him. I was fine with the pick and thought he had a chance to be a number 2 in this league.

It is ironic that in his first game as starter from being a 5th round pick he makes 5 picks.

Maybe 5 is his lucky number!

...Peterman will continue to make progress in his development and eventually ends up on the PS IMO......realistic expectation for a 5th rounder......McCarron starts and Allen is #2....and I wouldn't mind having the same trio in 2019 perhaps with Allen being ready to start and McCarron #2.......if the development of all goes well, this could be somewhat near the Kelly/Reich duo plus 1.......I could handle that....

I agree. I expect it was to shut up Dennison and others.

As bad as he played has no bearing on the future. Was a brain fart, got rattled and never recovered in time

I also believe that to be true. The point was proven. The timing was perfect if you’re trying to prove the point.

I too scratched my head when the call was made. and even more so after watching such a disappointing effort come game time..
Just conjecture from me really

I agree, I honestly think he can be a very serviceable backup if things work out. I won’t judge him solely on that debacle. But it was SO BAD it’s almost funny. (It felt like the beginning of John Grisham’s book Playing For Pizza - very funny.)

There were those rumors swirling at the time, but I have no idea if there was any basis for it. That and a RT snoozing on the job make for a lot of curious things about that game.

Nonsense...five is the universally recognized unlucky number that spells certain career doom for NFL quarterbacks who throw INTs.

Only a matter of time before NFL Films begins releasing a slew of slashers titled Friday the 5th, starring Nathan Peterman as maniac career killer, Nathan Voorhees.

So does that make P5terman Billy Joe?   No that is too crew even for him.

It makes him Van Pelt who beat Marwhino's record in college!

Wrong act. Circus freak show not one belonging in ring. Rings and Bills do not go together.
