That's his observation that has nothing to do with the QB pecking order.  I think McCarron would have been inactive on game days if he weren't traded.

Speculation, not fact.

Yep just like JW's post since McDermott hasn't spoken on the matter.

At any rate the 3rd QB played in the meaningless 4th preseason game to showcase him for a trade that came to fruition.

Alot of people are eating crow at the moment!

Eat it boys and give respect.

Let's not pretend that he won this competition because he severely outplayed the competition, he was just the better of a crappy bunch. It appears that Allen was always destined to start the season on the bench and after McCaron got hurt it was Nates job because he didnt crap the bed.

The Bill's QB "competition" was a battle over who was the tallest 'little person '

Congrats to the OP for his prediction and for winning his bet which I would have thought was about a 25/1 shot at the time..

Hopefully now that the decision is made we can all move positively forward..

That is not the point my friend....Go read that first page and see how many called the OP an idiot or said he was on drugs...etc...

I dont care about the battle and so on.

Way to hang in there on your prediction.  When you first made it, I thought there was no chance he would start.  By about preseason 3 I changed my mind.  Its obvious that he was the best of the 3 by that point.  I still don't think he will do very well in the real season though.

Good move to start Nate in this one.  It's also the right move.  I really hope he can redeem himself.

That being said, this is a brutal opener to the 2018 season.  Honestly, with all the question marks on the Bills,  I'll consider this game a success if we start the 4th quarter in a competitive game (within 7 points or less)....and Nate has thrown only 1 INT or none.

Credit to @BurpleBull for sticking with his prediction well before most fans thought there was a realistic chance. When McDermott said it was an open competition, I'm not sure why so many posters thought he was lying.
