I read the OP and he also had McCarron ahead of Allen.  It was his hunch based on fandom.  In any case, it's a temporary situation and Peterman faces real tests with the regular season beginning.

Stop digging.

If McCarron hadn’t been traded, he probably would have started the season second on the depth chart, so he got that right, too.

I think I remember disagreeing with the OP back in the day.

I was wrong. You were right. Good job.

Good one.   The point remains that there is literally nothing to based this thread on given what Peterman has shown in actual game play. Dream on with McCarron or Allen the most likely to start.  LAMP!

oh snap!

Error is more like it.  With a 1st round QB they need to develop, there's not much point wasting time with Peterman with such limited snaps available in OTAs, minicamp, and TC at SJF.

Good call.

McCarron was clearly 3rd of the three QBs.

Then why did Wawrow just report that one of the reasons McCarron was traded was to give Allen more practice reps?

That's his observation that has nothing to do with the QB pecking order.  I think McCarron would have been inactive on game days if he weren't traded.

When? After he hurt his shoulder?  That's obvious...

I think that's a very realistic assumption by Wawrow.  With McC Allen would have been inactive on game days too.
