26CornerBlitz Posted December 5, 2018 Author Posted December 5, 2018 Now 3-3 after Marleau scores. Off to OT. Fantastic game!
Alaska Darin Posted December 5, 2018 Posted December 5, 2018 Good point to get. Now lets get the second. 1
26CornerBlitz Posted December 5, 2018 Author Posted December 5, 2018 Helluva shot by Matthews to win it in OT with 2.7 seconds left.
SomeDudeAtHome Posted December 5, 2018 Posted December 5, 2018 Man, between the end of the Bills game and now this was a disappointing few days. Sabres will bounce back though and they got that point at least
Big C Posted December 5, 2018 Posted December 5, 2018 Good to get a point, but we need to get back in the win column.
Doc Brown Posted December 5, 2018 Posted December 5, 2018 Tough game to lose and sleep on until Saturday. Need to get back in the win column.
26CornerBlitz Posted December 5, 2018 Author Posted December 5, 2018 FINAL: Maple Leafs 4 - Sabres 3 (OT) Jack Eichel scores twice, but Maple Leafs win in overtime. FINAL STATS // STAY TUNED FOR POSTGAME COVERAGE Game Summary Event Summary Full Play By Play Sabres Ice Time
JohnC Posted December 5, 2018 Posted December 5, 2018 Great game. Toronto is loaded with skill and scorers. The Sabres went toe to toe. Risto is getting more active on the offensive side of the puck. I thought he played very well. I'm really impressed with Pilot. He's not going down. Ullmark played well. Matthews is unbelievably accurate with his shot. Dahlin is getting better and better. And he is barely scratching his potential. The loss was disappointing but how can you not be optimistic about the Sabres. My concern is that we are not getting secondary scoring. The first line needs some help. 1
Bray Wyatt Posted December 5, 2018 Posted December 5, 2018 Great effort after having to travel and play the night before, just had to fight til the end, seems we were letting up with a few seconds left and it cost us twice
K-9 Posted December 5, 2018 Posted December 5, 2018 Wow, what a game! Two teams giving no quarter. Very proud of the effort put in by this group of players tonight. Rob Ray said this was their 11th game in 19 days. Talk about a grind. Ray also mentioned that teams can’t really have any decent practices with that kind of schedule, too. They’ve played the best teams in the league in that span and have stood toe to toe But here’s the thing: the Tampa Bays, Nashvilles, and Torontos of the league have a lot less room between where they are now and their ceilings, while this team is still putting the pieces together. Rest up, heal up, get away from hockey for a day or two and then come back and start a new streak. 3

It was difficult to tell from TV. It seemed as if there were a lot of Leaf fans at the game?
