I'll have to dig deeper bc I knew nothing of the law

And @Buffalo Timmy I'm not saying the ruling was wrong, like the tweet I'm agreeing that this is a consequence of laws where you don't understand the unintended consequences......now I'm 100% sure the voters didn't.  But I'm pretty confident the politicians did.

My question would be is this a test run for BEEF which we know the enviro wackos want to ban.

Not good for renters either. I amovd to Cali in 1995.  Rented a one bedroom  ib a place built in the 50s for about 750 in Silicon Valley. Got a better job and moved to East SF bay in 97. Rented a 900 some  sq foot two bedroom apt( built in 87) for 1050. per month.  Went up over time to 1550/ month in 2012. Then they were remodeling apts and would be charging me 1850/month if I stayed there. Mover to the central valley and rented a room for 499.month.  Had a stroke and moved back to WNY to be with family. Around 2017 I got an email from the landlord of the hot in the east SF bay  that I could pay rent online. I must hacve still been on their email list. Checked their web site. Apt was now up to 2559/month!!!!  Probably up to 43k now.

Silicon Valley and legacy media full court press to rig the narratives in this country might be hitting a wall with Covid mandates.

No one wants them.  They are opposed by the majority of Americans especially "the vaccinated."

Makes me wonder if that's why the uber panic mode the last 2 weeks.  Losing narrative control.

Shock poll shows Gavin Newsom losing recall vote by double digits

Just prior to the start of the first televised debate in the Gavin Newsom recall election Wednesday evening, a shock poll showed the governor losing the first question ("Should Gavin Newsom be recalled?") by double digits.

The poll came from Survey USA and the San Diego Union Tribune, and was conducted among 1,100 Californians from Aug. 2 to Aug. 4. It found that 51% of respondents were in favor of recalling Newsom, while only 40% wanted to keep him in power. The previous Survey USA/San Diego Union Tribune poll from May found 36% in favor of the recall with 47% opposed.

QUESTION ASKED: Could Newsom Actually Be Recalled?

https://www.realclearpolitics.com/articles/2021/08/05/could_newsom_actually_be_recalled_146197.html

The California recall election against Gov. Gavin Newsom had been a fairly quiet affair, with Republicans considered a long shot at best to oust him. That was before two polls from Emerson College and another for the Los Angeles Times showed support for the recall reaching around 47%. More ominously for Newsom, opposition to the recall has fallen below 50%. If undecideds break strongly enough for “remove,” he could lose. Against this backdrop is the specter of the 2003 recall, when California voters replaced Gray Davis with Arnold Schwarzenegger. If Republicans could pull off the feat once, they might do so again in 2021.

It’s certain gotten Gov. French Laundry running a bit scared: Nervous Newsom attacks Larry Elder, says homeless camps are ‘not acceptable.’

https://hotair.com/john-s-2/2021/08/06/nervous-newsom-attacks-larry-elder-says-homeless-camps-are-not-acceptable-n407194

Newsom’s tough talk on homeless camps comes just a week after he told a group of newspapers, “Don’t ever confuse me with the defund police movement.” That may not sound like much in the rest of the country but in California, this is definitely moving to the right. Progressives who haven’t learned their lesson from Nina Turner’s loss in Ohio ought to pay attention. Newsom is many things but he’s not dumb. He knows the far left positions on these issues are losers.

Newsom suddenly against homeless camps and defunding the police? When a man knows he is to face a recall election in a couple of fortnights, it concentrates his mind wonderfully.

Election Observers Alarmed Over Newsom Recall: All California Voters Can Download Ballots in the ‘Comfort of Their Own Home’

Trending Politics, by Kyle Becker

California’s recall election may be an exercise in futility unless voters put in safeguards to stop a downloadable ballot system from leading to ballot harvesting in order to keep unpopular Governor Gavin Newsom in office. The “Remote Accessible Ballots for Eligible Voters” is being touted by California Secretary of State Shirley Weber as a way for voters to download ballots in the “comfort of their own home.”“For the November 3, 2020 General Election, any voter can request to use Remote Accessible Vote by Mail,” the Secretary of State’s website states.
