After that Joe Collier was the best coach by far as he finished 9-4-1, won the division and lost to KC in the championship game the year after Saban left. He struggled the next year as the team was being dismantlled, Kemp was injured and Lamonina gone. Knox b/c he turned the franchise around when it stunk in the 70’s. Too bad Ralph was so stubborn letting Knox go. I was listening to NFL Radio right after Knox’s death and he was 112-62-1 with a winning percentage of .643, second only to Don Shula lifetime. im sure eventually when he retires Belicheck will beat those records, but to not have Knox in the HOF is a sin. He also couldn't handle Cookie, who was a rare talent. 22 coaching jobs in 50 years.
