Here in Seattle, numerous locals think they invented the term, "12th man."  They didn't, of course.   The expression has been around since at least 1900.  But Seahawk fans have embraced it and it seems now a very much Seattle thing with #12 Jerseys, flags, and logos everywhere.

Buffalo could do the same with "Respect the Process" - except that it's not all that inspiring.  I suppose it's a good catchphrase to use with the players because you want them to embrace McD's way of doing things.  But it doesn't resonate with me as a fan.

I hate this!! Why can’t we come up with our own things? Let’s be more creative and come up with traditions and tag lines that others are envious of. We have mastered that on the tailgating end. I really wish that we had something like this though (my favorite tradition in sports):

They sure let Karius walk alone. RM players were the only ones to give him any words after the match. Absolutely can't stand Liverpool.

Can someone explain to me why this is important enough to try to trademark?  What's the point?

In the event a person or entity wants to create merchandise. They want IP rights protected under a TM.

Sure, because who wouldn't want a t-shirt touting the process?

Some actually might and especially so if the Bills evolve into a perennial contender under the Beane-McDermott regime.  Foresight.

It sort of reminds me of when EJ Manuel sold stock in his performance.

Dont ever bring that up again. I bought 500,000 shares when I was wasted and he ruined my life... ruined I tell you ?

That couldn't have cost you more than like 4 dollars.
