Google: California GOP's Primary Ideology is "Nazism"

Golden State Pension Deficit: $1.2 Trillion

It’s common for reports on states’ pension deficits to throw around figures in the hundreds of millions, the billions, or even the tens of billions. But according to a new estimate of California’s pension hole from the Stanford Institute for Economic Policy Research, it’s time to bring out the t-word. The Orange County Register reports:

Preliminary calculations from a forthcoming SIEPR study peg the unfunded retirement tab for state and local government employees at more than $1.2 trillion, according to Insolvent Film, a website based on a documentary on government financial stability.

The $1.2 trillion-plus deficit includes approximately $950 billion in unfunded pension liabilities and about $300 billion in other post-employment benefits (primarily retiree health care). The total translates to roughly $30,650 for every man, woman and child in the state – about $123,000 for a family of four.

The figures are substantially higher than official government estimates… The difference, as Stanford public policy professor Joe Nation explained to Insolvent Film, is that public pension systems base their financial estimates on unrealistic assumptions about investment rates of return. CalPERS expects to earn 7.5 percent a year, for example.

Other recent reporting doesn’t inspire confidence that the Golden State’s pensions are in the best of hands. The San Francisco Chronicle reported Monday that a county in California’s East Bay has guaranteed its top public administrator an annual lifetime pension of more than $500,000 per year once she retires. And as Governing magazine reported earlier this month, California’s largest pension fund is devoting its energies to green social activism even as it continues to fall far short of its investment targets.

Was in Los Angeles two years ago, 10 day vacation. Countless blue tarp villages all along interstate fences.

Only place you didn't see blight & seediness in core L.A. was in Beverly Hills and the nice section of Sunset Blvd.

From Santa Monica up to Malibu, homeless living along the beach, in cars and taking over public restrooms.

My liberal NYC living kid (10 yrs.) recently went to San Fran., said they could not live amid so much decadence.

It's almost like they have an invisible wall to keep the dregs of society out. It's all good as long as it's not a real wall. Unless you live in a gated community in which case a real wall is ok. But, it's only ok for a certain sector of the community, not for the country as a whole.

It doesn't matter. The left owns the state. They own the ballots. They own it all.

It's genuinely not even worth voting in CA. Ever.

It is easiest to just get blackout drunk and vote for the worst candidate possible, because without chaos one can never become a dancing star.

It's called a police enforcement wall. In almost every city, there's a place that the dregs know: if they are caught even being there, they will be charged for things they wouldn't be elsewhere, the charges will be 3x harsher and the sentence puts them away for 20+ years. In Philly, it's easy to see. You have 2 rivers and a highway that define the "no dregs" area. The final border is less rigid, but still, everybody, even in South Philly, knows that you don't take on a Center City person and expect a fair outcome. The police simply use the terrain given. You're not allowed in if you clearly have no business there.

It's not a policy: it is literally a massive behavioral modification program that goes on 24/7. It is...accepted.

People wonder where the concept of "safe space" comes from? Why? We've had them since the beginning of the country. Center City is a giant safe space for urban liberals, who never have to worry about being victims of crime, because the risk/reward for criminals, enforced by the police, says Center City isn't worth it.

These same liberals will complain about a police shooting in North Philly...provided it actually makes the news, and, provided that there's something to B word about. Most of the time, these liberals hide behind their walls, and couldn't care less of Mike Mike and J Smooth got murdered last night, as long as it was on the other side of the "border". That could literally mean the other side of the street, but, the rule still applies.

Property value, don't cha know? Inevitable question: what if we treated the whole city to the same police enforcement/vigilance that Center City, Midtown Manhattan, and Shady Side Pittsburgh get? (Watch that question drift off and literally disintegrate, unanswered, when asked of any "safe space" urban liberal.

Prices of homes there should become a problem with so many longtime owners wanting out of Cali.

Especially the bungalows in Hollywood surrounded by the overampant homeless LGBT community there.

California is America's future!

California is not going to leave the Union, it will dominate the Union. If you look at Georgia, that state is now 40% non-white, North Carolina is growing mostly in the Urban areas, South Carolina is the same and of course Florida is getting browner every year. The hurricane that sent 200K from Puerto Rico there was a big bump!

Look at what's happening in Texas: https://www.texastribune.org/2017/06/22/texas-hispanics-behind-half-states-growth-2010/

California has a 1.2 TRILLION DOLLAR deficit in their state and municipal pension funds. They're already a high tax state and will soon be bankrupt.

Actually, stating California is America's downfall be apropos.

They or N.Y., will be the first states in the Union to be calling upon "Uncle Sam" to bail them out.

Considering how quickly this is disappearing, I'm pretty sure it's not Google's official policy.  Somebody low-level google drone is going to lose their job over this.

And probably get hired immediately by Salon or Vox or MSNBC, so they shouldn't worry too much.

Google says the Nazi reference came from mining an inappropriately-editited Wiki page for their search results. Your gripe should be with that editor, not with Google's search algorithm, but that's probably not satisfying or conspiracy-theoryish enough for most of y'all.

Personally, I'd like to see everyone with their panties in a wad over this liberal search engine result boycott your Google masters. I'm interested to see how well Bing, Yahoo and AltaVista work out for you...
