The defense was coached well but didn't have the horses to get it done. Now in year two they do so i will like to see the defense take a big step. The offense lost some horses though pretty unexpectedly so we need to if the guys they brought in can be coached up and play well. Bob Babich is coaching Tremaine Edmunds and Urlacher credits babich with much of his success. Edmunds has the staff behind him that could push him into greatness. Edmunds could be in for a big career. I don't think I knew this, that is very encouraging when you think about Edmunds development. I knew Edmunds was in good hands with McDermott, but having someone like Babich as his positional coach as well is great. A quick google search of Babich shows that Urlacher chose Babich to present him at the hall of fame induction ceremony. I didn't think I could get more excited about Edmunds, but it keeps happening. 2

Coach55 Posted June 4, 2018 Posted June 4, 2018 If Trent Murphy pans out, we can have the Tre-cubed defense... ok. It’s a stretch.

I feel like Murphy isn't getting talked about a lot. He put up some very solid numbers in 2016. If he and Lawson play well, the front 4 could be a very good unit which would be a big help for Edmunds. If it doesn't and they continue to struggle containing the run and getting to the passer, they'll really need to address that position next year. 2

Even if we whiff there, taking Edmunds @ 16 w/o giving up anything next year... Unreal and not very Billsey. It makes me look forward to next year that much more.
