Anyone have any garden tools you hate using? Anyone like any electric versions of garden tools over their manual counterparts? Anyone ever have disastrous experiences with garden utensils? Lets hear some garden tool/utensil stories?

I received a Scotts "foldable" wheelbarrow once as a gift.  The first (and only) time I used it, it folded with a full load of dirt in it and it made for entertaining viewing for the neighbors (who coincidentally were having a yard sale)  as I collapsed on top of the now collapsed wheelbarrow.  When I got myself off the ground and tried to get this back up and on it's wheel, it collapsed again, spilling most of the dirt this time.  Haha  I've threatened to re-gift this terrible idea at Christmas because the episode has made for a good story.

I'm still surprised no company has invented a push button weed trimmer that starts up with...just a push of a button.  I've had better success with better quality trimmers and using non-ethanol gasoline these days but the big box brand trimmers just become victims of fits of rage after the 75th pull and nothing. I recall that my neighbor turned his Craftsman trimmer into a javelin one summer and launched it.  Just like Brick launches the trident in the Anchorman movie.

I hate the weed wacker/yard trimmer. I ended up going with a battery operated one this season and it's been good but it's still new. Yet it has a push button line feeder that will hopefully make things a whole lot easier than the old fashioned wind and twist methods.

I have a hoe that just breaks my back every time i'm out doing yard work.

So many jokes, so little time.

The one I use from EGO has two buttons you have to press to engage. It's pretty easy all things considered.

I went with a battery powered one a few years ago and I love it. One problem I have is that it is supposed to feed the line automatically but I don't think it ever does. I suppose the battery life could be a problem, but I can get my yard done easily if it's full-charged.

I also have an electric hedge trimmer that uses the same battery so if I remember to keep them charged I'm good. The hedge trimmer is great too. I used to do it by hand and it would take forever. Only problem is one the I got a little carried way, trimmed to much on a smaller plant and ends up killing it.

On the gas side, I have a Husqvarna leaf blower that starts every time and runs well.

I have a 20 volt black and decker battery trimmer, a battery filler and a battery chain saw. All work great but I bought the larger 4.0 ah batteries to use with them. Use the smaller ones for my drill and driver. The larger battery allows me to do the entire lawn on a single charge using the higher power setting and still have power left
