How do you score above 40?

Q35:  I OFTEN sit down on the street corner and let a homeless man tell me his life story, he can go on for hours and I never interrupt.

why...  Strongly Agree!!

Q42:  my neighbour OFTEN opens the gate to my back yard so his huge dog can take a dump on my lawn. This dog is mean and has bitten my children a few times, but my neighbour says he is under a lot of stress, so I don’t say anything.

correct answer.... Strongly Agree

40

Given the daily meltdowns, emotional arguments, man crying, and sentimental attachments to 7th round try hard, lunch pail guys I'm surprised to find out most of you are completely autistic.  How does that work??

My wife scored a 65.  Yes, is a public library director... But total problem solver.  Turned around an organization that was dying on the vine and took the library into 21st Century. Cleaned out old guard kicking and screaming into tech, etc...

She is also a dreamer too.  Head in clouds but, firmly standing on the ground.  From Lackawanna... Live rust still in her veins.

You would never think of her managing so many people and so well with all the crazy success stories she and others accomplished.

It's a myth that dreamers can't lead, be problem solvers.  And had to do it in a poor, working class, diverse  community where she is the minority.

Did she finally replace those Windows ME terminals in the center of the library that people used to surf porn with a WIFI hotspost so the public can surf porn in a little more privacy?

Hell yeah... 20 years ago.  They check out Roku sticks now to patrons.

you know they're just checking them out and installing porn channels right?

Sure... Maybe you can get one too.  Thanx Capt. Obvious.  You're just an IT Guy, not a cop.  Have some empathy.

FWIW... My son is a STEM guy... Honors program, Bio engineering U of Iowa... He scored a 16/80.  He was blatantly honest too.

Son of two bleeding heart libs.

My wife refuses to relate it to STEM and calls him STEA(rt)M based... Just needs a little work on his artist self.

LMAO!

I like you.  I think it is the other way around.

(Why you wiffed on that question)

You're simply clueless.  Why you scored a 10.

My son is just as self-absorbed. He's off your mark by 6 with a 16.  He also simply can't get what the problem was.  Both of you are hardened... And for just reasons.  Nothing wrong with that.  One would hope that you eventually get it.  My son's girlfriend scored a 50/80.  His yang to her yin just like my wife and I.

I took it again and soared from a 50 to......51. I think part of it may be how comfortable giving extreme answers. I hate “always” or “never”. I wonder what would happen if you remove the middle columns. How much has to do with how “cautious” you are in answering questions like that.

Its "Strongly" agree or disagree.  Or "Slightly."

Not "Always" or "Never"

For somebody with such high empathy you sure do have trouble spotting a joke

What's your real score?

It was you.  No doubt in my mind it wasn't a joke. Anybody else yes, I may given a double take.

My self-absorded son cranks a 16.

You gotta be hardened being a son of a cop.  My godfather was a cop. Stories and selfless service does harden people, especially offspring.  No doubt if he was my real father my score would have lowered drastically.  That's not a reflection on your dad, he can score an 80.

There is a little truth with the notion that problem solvers have lower empathy.

Empathy is over-rated though. Test is over simplified. Empathy can change quickly.

Just another stupid test.

Close enough.... absolutes/extremes. I’m not big on extremes. I’m bigger on hedging bets without more specifics. If it was a 1-10 thing I might be a better person. And you can’t make me not believe that!   ?

And maybe I just hate people too.....
