If you remember Terence McGee, or if you don't, take a minute and watch the greatest kickoff return that didn't go for a touchdown in the history of the league.   The guy could play corner, too.

Our best kick return ever accounts for zero points..?

Hmm.. does the term “Billsy” work here?

I think the term was invented for that play.

What's crazy and maddening about the play is that at the 30 second mark of the film, the chances of McGee scoring a touchdown on the play have to be about 99%.  He's got three blockers in front of him and one Saint left to beat.  The Saint gets absolutely crushed and McGee (who has to be absolutely beyond gassed at this point) just has to move a bit to avoid the guy on the ground but gets tripped up trying to go over him.  Yes, that is incredibly Billsy!

This play pretty much sums up the franchise!  But God, I still love everything about them. So close, yet so far away.

Thanks OP,

While we're on the subject of good CB's I would like to give an honorable mention to Jabari Greer.

I've posted this in the past before as well.  It's one of my favorite Bills moments for so many reasons.  That he didn't score makes it all that more memorable to me.  McGee is probably the most underrated KR in NFL history.

McGee was !@#$ing awesome, just a shame he got injured.  Remember watching that return live, it was so Bills.  Peters was insanely good on ST as well, what a player.

Think of all the great cornerbacks who were pretty good return men in this league, McGee is still the only one to take a KR and Int to the house in the same game.  Did it against the Bengals.

IMO he was the best tackling DB since George Saimes

Winfield was pretty good too.

Honestly, White has played pretty good against the run as well, long way to go for him.
