VABills
The NFL is considering getting rid of blindside hits. Probably won't apply to the QB or it really negates the DE. http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=2013952

MartyBall4Buffalo
these rules are getting dumb. We might as well get rid of all contact and play two hand touch in pads

Navy Chief Navy Pride
Put him in a red jersey -- take away the 11 defensive players on the field and he still cant complete a short yardage pass!

KD in CA
The example they give is Warren Sapp's hit on Clifton? On that play Sapp hit him square in the chest, how is that "blindside"? Now it's going to be the a penalty for hitting a guy who's not paying attention and looking the wrong way? Gee, if they did that in hockey, Eric Lindros could have been a Hall of Famer! Another stupid idea from the NFL Competition Committee. These guys are like Congress, if they don't have any good ideas, they just think up some bad ones. ajzepp
The only good reason to have kept Bledsoe would be if they started awarding style points for the fetal position.
Coach Tuesday
Read it again: http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=2013952 It only relates to blindside hits away from the ball. A QB holding onto the ball (for example, a 12-year vet in a do-or-die game against backups of his GM and head coach's former team who doesn't even bother to look to his right to notice an obvious corner blitz - fug I hate him) would not be covered by the rule. jarthur31
Some **** got rid of it. 275991[/snapback] What's sad about that is an extremely vocal minority with their constant bitchings and moanings pressured the Admin to make this place alot more conservative. I don't see any kids visiting here so why should we all act grown up like we're trapped in the 50's or sumthin.
