Teams all have nicknames on their hats some refer to their fans such as the seahawks. I would much rather ours said Bills Mafia then Billieve

I think from a marketing point of view the word mafia has way to many negative connotations.

Then add in all those bizzare completely idiotic tailgating stunts / drunkenness that is applied to it,.

I can safely say Mafia will never ever show up on official NFL or Buffalo Bills merchandise or be used in any official matter by either entity

I'll tell you what pisses me off ... Josh Allen STILL doesn't have a !@#$ing nickname.

The mafia thing is the gayest thing ever. Gayer than a soccer playing Justin Bieber.

Funny, that coincides with my mental picture of you

Same.  My wife wants to know why I keep muttering to myself.

p.s.   See what happens when you fire Russ?

I haven't been this mad since Wade refused to wear a headset.  I wouldn't have even minded if the headset said "Billieve" across the top.

When you google ‘Bills Mafia’ this is the first thing that comes up:

I guess it is safe to assume there is not an IQ test criterion associated with membership...

I can see why the Pegula don’t actively promote “Bills Mafia” . It’s not officially a slogan of the team and it’s popularity runs with younger crowds

alot of 60+ people don’t like the mafia association... it’s a newer term also first used by like nick Barnett when he arrived via FA

its not 30+ years old with a lot of tradition

There are plenty of Italians in Buffalo who may feel it's copy right infringement.
