Do any of you know what net Neutrality is?

Yup. But a globalist commie like yourself hates anything free market related. If only your utopia of Russia, Cambodia, Venezuela, N. Korea, Cuba, Etc., Etc., Etc., ever actually worked. Your hatred of people wanting to succeed is terrible. Im just glad not everyone thinks like you, wishing the entire world was poor.

Yes when has capitalism to an extreme ever backfired...surely not within the last decade...and government intervention would definitely not be necessary bail it out I mean that'd just be embarrassing.

I would fault on the side of freedom and less government control over tyranny and more government control every day of the week.

I'd say if absolute Capitalism and absolute socialism(the economy in Communism) don't work then perhaps the solution is somewhere in the middle.

Well I'm willing to acknowledge that I have no way of knowing how exactly you perceive me but I will say I like the competition of capitalism it drives progress and helps provide better services at better prices. I dislike how communism tends towards no motivation to improve your station in life through legitimist means.

More on topic however I'd say I have trouble distinguishing who I like less politicians or cable companies.

I mean yeah I think there should be some regulation to prevent the situation we find ourselves in now where cable companies don't really compete with each other and don't try to improve their service and just work on ways to increase their bottom line through cutting cost or taking control of the market.

I just don't see how they're likely to improve things once Net Neutrality goes away.

I really appreciate your response. Seriously. I apologize for being aggressive towards you. I see your point. I feel getting rid of Net Neutrality opens up the playing field for a more competitive market, and will drive prices down, and encourage innovation.

If ending net neutrality will open up the market and drive down prices, why are the ISP monopolies trying to get rid of it?

Monopolies don't break themselves up.

Ending net neutrality will let the minopolies piece out the internet to the highest bidder.

Reading that article it seems to say that without Net Neutrality the market will self regulate but I can't say I have any confidence in cable companies for that. They don't seem all that interested in competing with each other now. I might be biased because the fastest internet I can get is 60 megabits when a gigabit is possible.

I am in the broadband business.  I love the repeal from a business perspective.  Non-traditional service providers are going to build their own long-haul networks between SuperNAPs and are looking into last mile networks with innovative CLECs to avoid the incumbent networks.   Business is fricking booming.

That personal opinion aside -- I have seen enough behavior of the incumbent cable and telephone companies over my career to be suspect of how they will manage their networks.  Even with the repeal, I am confident that this is not a big a deal as it would have been 5 years ago -- because the platform providers now have plenty of options to by-pass the traditional provider networks and that will only increase.  As usual, the incumbents are two steps behind the market and fighting for something that in a decade they will back upon and regret.

Don't worry everyone, this is just the usual PPP battle tactic. Stall and obfiscate by demanding that your opposition explain something that you yourself aren't willing to.

Same old Boyst.

But really, if you're going to get all butthurt and political about it, you should probably move it to that silly thread you created in the PPP the last time you got butthurt.

Those who talk about butthurt seem to be type who want to do it the most.

Perhaps flashback memories from time in prison.

Do you have happy thoughts when you think of soap bar on floor?
