One way or another the Sabres will be playing in the fall. It may be with the regular players or if they continue to be stubborn, it will be with replacement players. The owners will not let another season go by the wayside.

As much as I dont want to admit it, my interest in the Bills has really been spurred on by the lack of hockey. Im a diehard Sabres fan, first and foremost. At 20 yrs old, my first 10-12 years can be described as my football years. I was crazy about the Bills, always watching games with my dad. My first game that I attended was the greatest comeback game in 1993.

But then around 1996, I started to watch hockey. NHL '96 remains my most played video game, undoubtably. I became addicted, and now Im going to school in Toronto, the hotbed of hockey. But without the Sabres and the inaccessibilty of the AHL and OHL for me, Im left to posting on message boards and checking to see how Vanek and other prospects are progressing.

But with that said, I cant help but be more interested in the Bills again. My passion will always be hockey, but football is very easy to follow -- tons of press, many, many fan websites. I guess I cant help but get excited about the team. It'll be interesting to see in Losman can take the reigns, if McGahee can continue his progression, etc. If hockey comes back next year, Ill be there, but I think my passion for the NHL will never be the same.

Thanks for your response. I put up this poll because I was wondering whether the two sports in Buffalo help each other or hurt each other. It seems to be the former based on what I am seeing in a non-scientific poll.
