Ebbers found guilty

He'll probably end up in some country club prison where he'll only be allowed 1 hour a day to play golf.

Only 1 hour a day of golf? Never happen. You can't treat prisoners like criminals.

Just as long as they don't handcuff him on the way to the sentencing hearing. We wouldn't want to judge to be "influenced". <_<

I'm glad to see this scumbag going down hard. Guys like this give the socialists ammo to convince the ignorant that capitalism is bad. I hope he gets tag teamed in prison. :)

Meh. One way or another, the ignorant will fall victim to someone. Michael Moore made a lot of money last year.

And he also hurt my large cap mutual funds. Just for that he deserves to have Bubba pound his sorry ass. <_<

So Bubba's a "chubby chaser"?*

*A phrase I learned on a recent episode of "Rescue Me." I had no idea the queer subculture had so many nuances. Apparently different color rags worn a certain way mean the wearer likes certain sexual behaviors. Creepy stuff.

Just curious as to if or when anything will happen to Kenny Boy Lay? Doubt it what with his maze of connections to the White House.

On a happier note Halliburton got nailed again today.

Don't worry, he's going down too.

I first heard the term "chubby chaser" in the 1976 film The Ritz starring Rita Moreno.

I was an 11 year old straight male at the time and it turned me into a 39 year old straight male to this day.

The flag thing is also old. You should venture down to the contiguous 48 every once in awhile.

On a gayer note a California judge overturned an earlier court ruling halting the continuation of nuptuals for same sex couples, thus opening the door for California to become the second state to allow homosexual and lesbian marriages.

Somewhere in Colorado at a football stadium some 100,000 thousand Promise keepers can be heard moaning.

I don't see a whole lot of reason to "venture down." We have crappy fast food restaraunts and horrible big box stores here.

FWIW, I'm not against gay marriage. I don't think the government of a supposedly free country has the right to tell 2 adults that they are any less equal than 2 other adults, especially based on what they're doing to each other in their own bedroom - regardless of how disgusting it is. I'm also of the belief that homosexuals don't chose who they are attracted to. So toss that little stereotype by the wayside.

The term "creepy stuff" had to do with one particular rag (yellow) that meant they were into "water sports."

I also think people who belong to organized religion or either of the 2 big political parties that are currently running this country into the ground are weak minded lemmings. Run with that.

Never said you were against homosexual couples. I thought I'd bring it up because nobody else had yet. It's an important story because I thought the issue played a major role in last year's elections, maybe more so than terrorism.

Did you think so?

Gee, you'll have to be the bigger man and forgive me for misreading the multiple sarcastic and arrogant inferences in the post I responded to. Maybe my radar needs recalibrating but I'm not so sure.

Did it play a major role? Sure. Both sides have been selling fear for a long time. The Dems held the market for nearly 50 years but currently the Republicans have the upper hand. At the end of each day, the concept of America dies a little more.

One only has to look down the page here to find "the Bubonic Plague" thread to see how amazingly effective each side is.

So much for his "connections".

The schedule is to have Lay and Skilling (the more culpable of the two, but let's ignore that minor detail like the mainstream media) on trail next year. The guy MOST responsible for the Enron fiasco is already sitting in jail and will be there for ten years.

No, unless you are the chairman of one of the two major political parties in this country, you can't get away with swindling millions of dollars out of companies before sending them into bankruptcy and ruining thousands of peoples' lives.
