JimKellyTryouts
Another reason they could have passed on Chubb was for financial reasons down the road - QB and pass rusher are the ones that make the biggest of the big bucks. Myles Garrett is the real deal, and if the Browns hit on both Baker and Chubb, that would be three $100M+ contracts which would thin out the rest of the roster by then. Of course they hope Ward is good enough to earn a lucrative deal, too, but he'll probably have less of a cap hit down the road compared to any pass rusher. Buffalo Barbarian
10 hours ago, Scorp83 said: Right! This offense will struggle to find points... we've had great defenses... Schwartz had a top 3 Def... meant nothing cause Orton sucked donkey doodles. Means nothing to hold teams to 10 pts, if we can't score 13. Our offense was quite poor last year and McDermott got us through. I think with Dabol running the show we will be more creative and flexible but our Oline has me real concerned losing 3 pro bowl level starters. Hopefully they can design our offense with Oline in mind as well as the skill players.
BuffaloBill
Let’s hope. His coach is right. However, every year when the draft is over and the team is about to enter camp there are these stories of how some guy is supposed to be the next, name your player. Sometimes teams get lucky with late round gems but the odds are so stacked against this.
stevewin
Competitiveness, physicality, tackling, tough, and coachable - seems to be a definite fit for the process/culture Quote "His competitiveness let him get away with a lot of stuff. As he was learning technique, he had really good instincts and he was so competitive that that allowed him to overcome some of the rookie mistakes that you do make. He'll probably come in (to the NFL) and make some rookie mistakes and things like that, but he cares so much and he'll overcome that stuff. He's not going to let it get into his head." .......... "He was never scared," Hill said. "He's a physical guy that will throw his hat in there. He's not scared by any means. He's going to come downhill." .......... "He tackles, which it seems like it's a lost art for a lot of DB's, corners in particular in this league," McDermott said. "So that's something we look for." ........... "He's tough, he's going to do things right," Hills said. "He's not a kid you're going to have a lot of issues with. He's just one of those coach's dreams really."
