When McCarron played for CIN there was a significant drop off in production from when Andy Dalton was in the lineup.

For sure. But he at least has some real NFL play under his belt. Taylor was coming in with pretty much nothing but Rex Ryan’s blessing.

And that’s your excuse?

Have you thought that the head coach and OC May have wanted to KISS and call plays so that AJ wouldn’t have to carry the load in his first games of his career?

Which is more logical than the bias you portray for many Bills QB’s

Oh and I’d love to see a link where a team said make him a QB as a method of beating him.

McCarron should have actually won a playoff game.  The Bengals fumbled it away that night when they were on cruise control.

Not sure about starter, but he's a very solid backup

He beat Pitt in a playoff game (No Easy Feat!) til newly acquired Patriot Jeremy Hill fumbled. You know deep down that Mccarron must think what coulda been. Hill doesn't fumble and Mccarron wins a couple playoff games? His stock would be much higher!

Question is simple. Who do you think was the better QB when they arrived in Buffalo.

TT or McCarron

Gotta play the AJ card here.  He had actual game experience while Taylor didn't.

C - Can't possibly know until AJ has played a snap.

However, TT stole the show and job right out of training camp, so we will see in July

I am assuming the poll is asking who came to the Bills with a better resume. McCarron wins that hands down.

As I recall things, there was a bigger demand for Tyrod when both had their 1st opportunity as unrestricted free agents.  Speaks volumes to me.

He “stole” the show because he was Rex’s guy and was competing against Meh Cassel.

All rumors.  The ONLY demand was the Cleveland Browns where QBs go to die.

Every other rumor was Fake News

Really? I’m not recalling that. I will take your word for it. Did Taylor have a win in the NFL of a National Championship in college before signing with Buffalo?

OP: Question was which QB was better coming in Buffalo, correct?

When TT arrived and when McCarron arrived... who do you think was the better QB at that stage

Once again that means nothing with respect to the NFL just as it didn't for Geno Toretta, Tim Tebow, Eric Crouch, Jason White, and the many of others who won National Titles.

Fair enough. What about a  win in the NFL as a starter for Taylor? What about any real quality NFL experience, starting a regular season game for Taylor?

Honest questions.

There is a bit of difference in salary though...

From memory TT wasn’t on much more than 1 Mil a year ..

Taylor had zero starts, a couple of throws for less than 200 yards total and no TDS to 2 INTs over four years. McCarron has started several games for the Bengals including a playoff appearance where he performed reasonably well in a very tough spot against a divisional rival. I don’t see how anyone could argue it’s not McCarron.

Took less money for the opportunity to start in Buffalo and he made it pay off for him.
