To sum it all up.

Image result for to that's my quarterback

“That’s my QB and I understand why he’s my QB and why Rosen isn’t” is more like it.

If we drafted Wilson seventh overall I'd have the same doubts so I'm having right now about Allen. Third-round he's a steal, 7th overall at that time don't know

You realize this is a knock against you, right?

Not only that. But the comparison is just stupid. The knock on Wilson was size. If he had been 4 inches taller he would have been universally regarded as a top ten guy. What made him slip to the 3rd isn’t even close to the same issues as to why Allen had the potential to slip.

He hasn’t shown you a thing?  You clearly mean he hasn’t shown you that he can complete passes at a 60% clip while running for his life with bum WRs.  He’s shown that he has a generational arm, great mobility and can move the chains with his legs, the ability to throw on the run and make throws that no other QB can make.  If he hasn’t shown you that, then your just hating.

He needs work. No doubt about it.  Darnold needs work. Mayfield needs work. Rosen needs mobility and an unscrambled brain.

now it’s up to our brain trust to develop him.

By saying he hasn’t shown you anything is being a Debbie downer.  He’s shown a lot.  he’s also shown a lot of bad.  No question.  Problem is, you only focus on the bad.  Your choice.  Have fun

Exactly how I felt.  But I didn’t sit there silent.

So glad you're delighted with the pick. Many of us are not. Our judgments are as valid as yours. Now let's just hope he works out. That's my hope. Until then, I'm not going to do a 180 and dismiss what I've seen from him in the past. If that's negative to you, so be it. Go bills.

No more than it is for the Bills and 30 other teams that passed on him for almost 3 rounds. For every Wilson there's 10 flops. All I'm saying is when you pick number 7, I'd rather pick a guy who's got a track record that shows he can do it at the next level. We're going to see.

This describes exactly 0 QBs in draft history.

Wow just watched the 2016 game vs Bosie State and Allen played much better.

After watching this game I'm more optimistic about the pick.

Gosh you're right, there's no way of ranking any quarterback coming out of college. Nobody like Peyton Manning or Andrew Luck. Throw a dart at the board. All college QBs have flaws. But I'll take a guy who has exceptional completion rate, I demonstrated ability as a pocket passer, reading defenses, and overall success at a major college program. That would be how I would do it, you wouldn't make the judgement differently apparently. That's fine.

Dang. 91% approval rating??  Nice. You probably can't even get that on Patsfans.com message board for Tom Brady.

I wasn't a big fan leading up to the draft or even in the moment of the draft. But glad to see we have pretty much all come around to him and will support him.

Of course we support him he's a Bill. It doesn't it mean we still have to like the pick or  make believe that are observations pre_draft are not valid, or have confidence it's going to work out. But we support him and hope he's the real deal.

Didn’t want the Bills to pick him, but he’s our QB so I’m rooting for him.  I’m not sure who wouldn’t be rooting for him whether or not they liked the pick.

40 people (and counting) are still pissed.

Translation: You're not projecting.

You do realize those "exceptional" completion rates aren't automatically transferable, right?

True, but they are a  better indicator of sucess than a crappy college career completion rate.

Am I a fan? Of course, I'll support him as long as he plays for my team. Am I still unhappy with the pick and wish we ended up with Rosen? You bet.

Prove me wrong Josh.

Look at Jim Kelly's stats in Miami

Yup, it can be turned around. Kelly 56% (completion%) in college. 63% as a pro
