Really made the playoffs last year. Outside of a lucky SB run in the 90s  Fredonia was no better.

Try harder

An unprecedented never to be done again SB run was lucky ? That’s a really dumb statement?

I think they signed a long term agreement with St. John Fisher last year?

Signed in 2016, 5 year extension, running through 2021.

Makes sense, the Jets and several other teams have done it. They could build a simple dormitory on site (think of a typical Motel 6) with maybe 60-80 rooms. After TC is completed, it could be used as a hotel during the season for  extra income as part of a "Bills Experience Package".

I like it!

i don't know if this factors into the equation, but he media loves the camp in rochester as well.  they always seem to love the stay and have very positive comments on how it's run, the immediate area, restaurants, etc.  peter king is typically pretty giddy when he does his write ups post rochester.  i think it's just a well done  camp.  that being said, every year or two i'll go down for a visit, stay for an hour, and wonder why i go considering how bored i am.

SJF is a great fan experience. Too bad our team doesn’t win anymore. I’d be happy for the Bills to go somewhere else that’s not as great of fan experience if we could get back to the SB!!!!!?

Plus Dunkirk and Fredonia have many very nice hotels (LOL) for people to stay at to see training camp.   It was cool when the Bills were at Fredonia got to meet many of them downtown in the bars like fountain grill etc.

Ah the Fountain Grill.....beef on weck, fooseball, and the owners daughter was extremely hot.

Went there every Sunday morning to clear out the cobwebs & play some fooseball.

Or we can stop caring about that because wheverver training camp is help that's going to happen.

Training camp has no affect on Season tickets.

It will be moved back to Buffalo if McDermott gets his way.

Without the Rochester fan base, you'd be watching the Toronto Maple Bills next year.  Trust me.  It's not moving.

I believe they are signed through 2021 or something like that, but there's also a pretty inexpensive buyout option, something like $100k, IIRC.

A friend of mine is pretty high up the food chain at Fisher, and he told me last year the feelings there are that the Bills will be pulling training camp out. I think it's a massive bummer. The atmosphere there is just electric, and as a Rochestarian I love having camp here. The setup, by all accounts, is the envy of the league. And I love that I can be at camp in 10 minutes, vs. the 90 minute drive we make eight times a year for home games.

How often do you go to the Applebees on Monroe Avenue.  When you walk in, do the customers at the bar yell "Teef" like George from Cheers?

I’d rather eat out of the Applebee’s dumpster than inside the actual restaurant.

ummmmmmmmmmmmm.....you capitalized the first letter of the sentence.  Am I talking to Teef?

I’m on my phone. Don’t let it scare you.

Really Ralph Wilson got lucky when he hired Polian, who hired Levy. He was the worst at finding GM's and coaches and his history in the nFL was all sub .500

Kelly said he never play for Buffalo but the USFL folded and he had no choice.

But to think that training camp location somehow was the difference maker LMAO.. and McBeane shut down most of the fan experience last year, didn't even need to change venues

Yeah it was a lucky run for one of the worst owners in pro sports. Outside of keeping the team in Buffalo any success under Ralph was definitely lucky

Would the Bills ever just have it at the team facility? or does it have to be at a campus for dorm rooms?

I believe when they build the new stadium downtown and it will have a hotel there - that is when they will move training camp.

What a difference a few years make.  Our biggest worry went from losing this franchise to moving training camp from SJF to Fredonia.

The AFL championships were the seasons they were training at “the U” Niagara University, let’s take them back there for TC. There is no nightlife or distractions other than the falls.

Um, Canadian ballet, casinos, when's the last time you were up near the Falls?
