So who knows There’s one hydrogen pump near my house. It’s at a gas station. I occasionally see someone filling up there.

Have you seen anything about what energy sources are being considered to "charge" the water in order to separate out the hydrogen from the oxygen and store it somewhere? This is important because from a physics and economic perspective, to be an effective energy source the amount of energy input needs to be less than the energy output. Clearly, Toyota is considering it. They just released a prototype hydrogen powered pickup/SUV. They already have car. Hydrogen powered Toyota pickup

Hydrogen powered Toyota pickup I support the idea and don't doubt the technologies work because fuel cell technologies and burning hydrogen have been around for a long time but its a big leap from a demonstration project to supporting a motor vehicle fleet level of activity along with the corresponding support infrastructure. And its unclear what the economics of hydrogen production, distribution, storage, and use are at the fleet level. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hydrogen_economy
B-Man Posted January 31, 2023 Posted January 31, 2023 Damn Putin. Gas prices have jumped for five straight weeks and are 'unlikely' to drop soon, experts say USA Today, by Jordan Mendoza Gas prices are continuing to rise to start 2023, and experts say prices are "unlikely to turn around any time soon." While it's nowhere near the record $5.01 reached in June, its far more than what the average was heading into New Year's Day and what prices were one year ago. Experts say it's possible the average price reaches $4 later this year.
