The grades we are getting post draft are completely dependent on people's opinions on Josh Allen, which is dumb. Kiper gives us an A because he likes Josh, other analyst are giving us bad grades because they hate Josh.

Reminds me of my old high school English teacher who would give you an A if you agreed with her, and would give you a C at best if you presented a differing opinion.

The fact is there were 15-2O really great players in this draft...and we got two of them. We also got a top fifty player at ninety six. To me that's pretty good. We filled the two biggest issues this franchise has.

come and see me in 1000 days and maybe by then we'll know.

we did what we absolutely had to do.   Get a top qb prospect and a LB.

Can't wait to watch these new kids at camp.  Watching Allen throw in person is quite impressive they say.

Well said.

I give him credit because he popularized a business.  But he’s never worked/ played on any level of football.  He’s never been offered a job in nfl front office because he would have been fired long ago.  He has the best job because there is zero accountability.  If he picked Jimmy Clausen at the top of the draft as a GM, he would have been fired.

He loved Josh Allen and we picked him. So we got a good grease based on what Mel Kiper believes.  It’s is essentially meaningless at this point.

At the end of the day it’s just an opinion. Other “experts” hated the pick. It’s all on who you want to believe I guess. But the guy gets a lot flack and most of it is undeserved

Been on an all-nighter to get a Report out, and a Sikh Day Parade is blocking the only street for an exit outside the office garage... and people are popping off about Mel Kiper not picking it perfecctly?

But out of tens of thousands of NFL prospects he's offered his opinion on going back to the 1980s, he's missed on numerous! He can't know anything!

These guys gotta' hand out grades to create the feeling of perspective.............but when you draft a QB the scale can massively distort.

It's more like winning the lottery when you hit on a QB versus $50 and a pat on the back for drafting a few good players that will have a limited impact and flame out in 5-7 years.

Go back to 2004.........who's left from that first round?    3 HOF QB's with no intent on retiring.

Even go back to the Matt Ryan/Joe Flacco draft and they are about all that's left.

Grades don't begin to tell the story because all positions are not created equal.

If Allen or Rosen become great and the Broncos continue to not have an elite QB for a decade then Elway will look like an idiot for passing.....even if Chubb pans out.

Yep. If Allen is great, this draft was a grand slam. If he's quite good it's a homerun. If he is average it's a poor draft. If he sucks it's a disaster. The other guys, as far as this draft grade goes, hardly even matter. And I like a few of them a lot,

Kiper is not the most likeable guy but I do not ever remember him giving Buffalo an A.    At least this is another step towards Buffalo slowly gaining national respect again.

This more than other years, is way too early to grade.   The success on the draft will live or die on the success of Allen.  I personally see Allen as boom or bust, either being a perennial pro bowler or a total disappointment, no in between(Bradford, Bortles etc).

I like what they did on the rest of the draft.   Edmunds and Phillips could add an immediate spark to the defensive front 7.   The later picks added competition to positions that needed it and if one of the last five picks can be this years Milano, I consider that a success.

.......Brylcream Mel is an entertaining clown.....as is Beiber (Gonna Shave Some Day) McShay........although my OPINION is that McBeane/McD/McDaboll did an "A" job in their very FIRST draft together, Mel's grade will be trashed by the TBD pundits because (1) it is Mel and (2) Allen was his guy from day one.....and there are other "A's" out there as well....

LOL, I was going to ask. Do they still make Brylcream?  Actually though I thought Mel had both of pur first round picks going high.

Hence the "A" grading.

The Bills made big moves to address the two biggest positions on the field. Strategically, they were more than successful. But a draft is only as good as the results on the field.

I could give it an A for value and need.
How it pans out is for another day
