Peterman will be cut this year

If they go with 2 QB's, likely.  If they go with 3, nope.

I disagree,  Peterman sucks... If we keep 3 maybe he sticks and they still put Zapoticky on the PS.. But I'm placing my money on being cut

I see him clearing waivers and ending up on the practice squad as insurance to begin the season.

I doubt they carry 3 unless there's an injury. Even then, there's guys like Derek Anderson or Matt Moore available as FAs who would be better suited to come in and keep the ship afloat.

You can disagree all you want , but if the plan is to sit Allen and try to work on his mechanics/ footwork and what ever else it takes to improve his accuracy , then there is no way we’re starting the season with him being the next man up , so in my humble opinion we’re going with 3 QB’ s and like it or not Peterman will get a chance to compete with AJ for the starting job , Zapoticky on a PS ? I’m pretty sure we have bigger holes to fill in other positions !

BTW I’ll take that bet !!!

I'll bet every dollar I can get my hands on that Josh Allen nails his mechanics on 95% of his throws in mini-camp and 85-95 in training camp. The only time QBs lose their mechanics is in real game situations with guys rushing them full speed.

The HC made the decision to start Peterman, BENCHED him at halftime, and then told his team and the general public that it was a big mistake. And the offense regressed. And he is a defensive coach.

The real story is that as of today, Peterman is a better QB than Josh Allen. Allen has a long way to go trying to figure out how to play quarterback at a D1 level, let alone a pro level. I hope he gets there, but it might take him 2-3 years on the bench.

Based on what, last season?

I'm putting my money on Peterman improving from last season. His only truly poor showing was the game vs LAC.

Peterman is sticking around.

Peterman's not going anywhere. People want to crucify him after the Charger debacle. Rule #1. Never start a 5th round rookie qb for the 1st time on the road against a top 5 pass rush. I know Tyrod was playing his usual mediocre safe football but throwing Nate to the wolves was stupid. After DiMarco butchered that pic6 I'd probably be deflated too. I think worse case scenario is Peterman is on the PS....And that Charger game is an excellent example of not playing Allen at all this year.

Do yourself a favor, and don't project Nate's weaknesses and inabilities on Josh. Nate can only dream of having the talent and arm that Josh does.

Da’Rick. Guy named Nance. Some huge fat TE (or DT) that we were trying to turn into next Peters. Forgot his name.

Jasper was a 7th round pick.

What I was trying to say was whatever  he needs to work on to get his accuracy improved ,

but I also watched some  film and I saw him make some amazing throws , from the pocket & while on the move , I also heard some experts and his coache and they were talking about Allen and Mayfield and both QB’s the style of offense they were in and completion% , basically Mayfield 25% of the passing attempts were screens / short passes ,

where in Allen’s case and the style of offense he had to air it out more and ( basically) make things happen = carry the team

Five-star recruit out of high school, signed with Oklahoma. Played two seasons there, transferred to A&M.

Ford's career started in Oklahoma, but midway through his five years on campus, it was time for a change. The five-star recruit and top-10 running back prospect nationally joined the Sooners in 2013, getting some carries during his 10 games of action (23 carries, 134 yards, one touchdown). The following year, he started three of eight games played, making an impact as a rusher (63 carries, 369 yards, five touchdowns) and receiver (11 receptions, 140 yards, one touchdown). Ford was suspended during 2015 spring practices, however, for academic and team rules violations. He stated that Sooners running back coach Jay Boulware treated him like he was "in high school." A transfer to A&M was in the cards, and he was named the team's Offensive Scout Team MVP while redshirting the fall of 2015. Ford started nine games in his first year of action with the Aggies, playing in all 13 to rush for 669 yards and six scores on 126 carries (five receptions, 81 yards).

Overview

Ford is a one-speed, straight ahead runner who looks to duck his head and ground out yardage through physicality. His lack of vision and elusiveness puts a cap on what he can offer a team as a runner, but he does have NFL size and a chance to earn a roster spot if he can prove to be a tough yardage specialist with plus coverage ability on coverage teams.

Strengths
  • Scouts say he loves football and is willing to put good effort into practices
  • Determined runner with good NFL size
  • Can bulldoze forward as a pile mover
  • Has enough footwork to make an initial tackler miss
  • Consistently drops pad level and accelerates into contact helping him finish falling forward
  • Not a dynamic pass catcher, but can handle basic receiving duties out of backfield
  • Possesses size and toughness to handle blitz pickup on passing downs
Weaknesses
  • Lacks finesse and can be a bull when running in constricted tighter creases
  • Tight-hipped in his cuts and isn't going to run with much knee or hip bend in general
  • Has to gear down to make his cuts
  • Single speed runner
  • Can make the first guy miss at times, but doesn't have the agility to string moves together
  • Vision is somewhat basic and doesn't show an innate feel for backside cutback opportunities
Sources Tell Us

"I don't think he's always easy to deal with for coaches and that is certainly what I got from Oklahoma when I asked about him in there. He has good size and is tough which is what we look for." - NFC area scout
