He has won titles at every level of football when he was given a chance....and i know a lot of people are hung up on arm strength which is Mccarrons biggest weakness but i would rather have an accurate, field reading, rhythmic, insync, and good decision making qb over one that can just throw the ball far and run faster then most I'm all in with Mccaron if he shows half of what he did in college which he did (and will again) in the games he played for the Bengals i think it will be a good thing but i hope Mcbean & company don't pull another Ralph & pull him just because they drafted a QB in the first round !! The other thing is i hope AJ wins so that all the nay sayers here on this board can be made to eat their words that would be a great day ! Kind of like all of those that use to love to see Flutie win games & then bad moth him after the fact at least AJ could have proof on paper with his win stats when a Bills fan says how bad he sucked !! He like Flutie can just say well look at the facts wins vs. losses says it all their record is the proof no matter how much they think the player stinks i would like to see how many of them were jumping around while the Bills were winning with the little man at the helm & how many will jump on the wagon again when AJ does the same thing !!

We need AJ to be efficient and to operate this offense if we stand a chance of being decent next year.. I don’t want Allen to start the season. I don’t have a ton of confidence in AJ McCarron. Thrse aren’t mutually exclusive ideas. I don’t really care how good the Bills are this year. I care about Josh Allen’s development and where he’s at, developmentally, this December. Will-GM-for-food Posted April 29, 2018 Posted April 29, 2018 I dont have faith in McCarron going out and winning games. I also don't think he'll go out and lose games. I trust the defense to be the main weapon and the AJ lead offense should be able to score a few times a game.
FearLess Price Posted April 29, 2018 Posted April 29, 2018 The fact we are bringing in lots of slot type WRs hints were gonna run an offense that taylors to AJs skillset while Allen gets his fundamentals and nfl accumen adjusted. 1
NewEra Posted April 29, 2018 Posted April 29, 2018 Best case scenario for mccarron is that he plays well when he starts while helping Allen progress. Then we can trade him for a pick next year. 1
dpberr Posted April 29, 2018 Posted April 29, 2018 I have faith in his ability. The potential problem will be creating a QB controversy that gets in the heads of both McCarron and Allen. Bills need to give McCarron space to succeed and Allen space to just watch and learn. 1

Allen is going to have to make some leaps and bounds to be better than AJ. But I think any time you draft a qb first round the management is under extreme pressure to prove that the pick was a correct one and play that qb asap. Even if its a detriment to the team. i don't believe that's gonna be the case here...with the f.o. or even the fan base..unless things go south... and unfortunately our hardest part is early, so hopefully a.j. can keep us ok til nov.1st. then it's get in a winning groove and ride out a winning streak.
Figster Posted April 29, 2018 Posted April 29, 2018 I think A J McCarron is going to make Josh Allen work his ass off If he ever wants to see the playing field. Good mentor for Allen in my humble opinion. 2 1

Some people make me laugh, had the Bills traded for him you’d be singing a different tune just like the fans that said trade up and get a QB...what they meant was trade up and get a QB the fan wanted. How long did Rodgers sit before starting? Wouldn’t he have been a career backup? AJ was behind a “franchise” guy. What have any of the rookie QBs done that AJ hasn’t? If the Bills traded or signed the QB you wanted you’d have a different post and others would have your opinion. Same with the draft. Ignorance is Bliss....

MarlinTheMagician Posted April 29, 2018 Posted April 29, 2018 I have faith in him, I think he is pretty good. I pray he has a great season and Allen develops on schedule. We can then trade McCarron for a high pick!
