Bio:
One-year starter who was limited to six games after breaking his clavicle in 2017, returning for the team’s final two games after initially being ruled out for the season. Caught 21 passes for 337 yards and one touchdown. Started seven games as a junior and made 43 catches for 597 yards and three scores. Combined for 27 receptions, 331 yards and one score in his first two seasons with the Tar Heels.

Pos:
Small but incredibly quick receiver who plays much faster than his 40 time. Fluidly releases off the line of scrimmage, sells routes and can turn it on in a single step. Displays a deep burst, easily makes receptions in stride down the field and displays focus and concentration. Comes back to the ball, adjusts to errant throws and consistently snatches passes away from his frame. Possesses quick, strong hands.

Neg:
Small and struggles in battles. Lacks true deep speed and a second gear. Marginally productive returning punts.

Analysis:
Proehl has size limitations but is a natural receiver with outstanding quickness and the ability to separate from defenders. He offers potential as a slot receiver and return specialist if healthy.

I think they're giving away the type of offense they're going to run.

Last year we grabbed a bunch of slot guys and tried to force them outside. I hope that isn't the plan again.

Better than Ray Ray but I think Trey Quinn is better than both. I think Proehl can make the team though.

really interesting that Buffalo didn’t address outside WR spots at all.

Or TE

I really hope next year we get stud WR and TE, along with a freaking Right Tackle.

Here is the new message board hero. The new Reilly. I do really like the pick. There is something to be said for bloodlines and maybe he becomes Welker-Amendola-insert overachieving white receiver. I'm excted!

Please attach your CV.

We all get an opinion, and that’s all it is.

120 yards against Louisville versus cornerback Jaire Alexander... then injured against Duke.

If healthy this is a damn steal, in the 7th round...

McBeane: You had my attention, you now have allegiance. Thank you for doing your homework and knocking this draft out of the park.

I forgot. I guess these picks have a wealth of NFL experience that you can gauge this opinion on.

We have absolutely no idea what kind of draft this is and you go out and say it's a garbage draft.

Get a clue please before you say this.

The staff must be expecting Zay to take a big step playing outside this year.

I honestly expect a big step up from Zay. Time will tell.

Hoping is more likely. They just didn't have the picks in the right place ( rounds 2-3) to get much WR help in this draft.
