Uncle Joe Posted April 28, 2018 Posted April 28, 2018 So lately a lot of posters have been saying that there is no need to take a running back early. We all know Shady and Ivory are on the tail end of their careers. I haven't done the research but it seems like a lot of RBs have been drafted in the 1st three rounds. I know this isn't our biggest area of need but who is left that we should take a chance on before the draft is done? Or UDFA? Ryan Nall comes to mind from Oregon State but I'm not sure he is NFL caliber.
1st Ammendment NoMas Posted April 28, 2018 Posted April 28, 2018 Ito Smith in the 4th or 5th. Very shifty, very Shady-like. I'd take him in the 4th, since there aren't many backs left. 2
The Now Moment Posted April 28, 2018 Posted April 28, 2018 I expected all of the running backs who went to be gone. This class has many more that contribute still. Very deep class at that position. May look at that position at some point in the 5th round is my guess. 1

1st Ammendment NoMas Posted April 28, 2018 Posted April 28, 2018 this sucks. no RB's or WR's left. We are going to have to live with Ivory, Shady combo. Looks like we will be addressing the offense with scrap heap FA's, cap cuts and UDFA. I get that we want to get the defense set for the next 4-5 years, then turn the offense over to Allen and the new recruits so they can grow together.
