Well, I'm going to give my obligatory shout-out to Bradley Bozeman - C - Alabama.

He wasn't invited to the combines due to concerns about his athleticism but he lost some weight for his workout day in Tuscaloosa. Saban really likes the kid and he played at Guard for a couple of years. I also like that he was voted team captain.

The Bills might be able to grab him in a late round and I hope they do. The kid is very smart and he is a winner.

PS: Of course, I don't want anyone to think that I am partial to National Champion Crimson Tide players. ;)

Ultimately day 3 isn’t about this year anyway. If we are counting on a guy tomorrow to be a big impact we’ve already created abust.

There’s no telling what we need in 2020 so you get the best player you can and figure success anywhere on the field is great down the line.

ill keep floating griffin as a curveball that would round out a major infusion of athleticism at lb behind an influx of DTs protecting them. Could be a hell of a transformation in the middle of the field.

I hadn't thought of that, but man that makes so much sense.

Doug Whaley was a big BPA guy.  Look where that got him,  bad drafts and a pick slip

Or you could argue competitive teams despite coaching turnover and constant scheme changes

Especially with the pieces to keep him clean! Man, kids a beast and seems everything McD would want in that locker room.

Everyones a long shot today, I’d consider him low risk and very high reward at this point. Worst case is a special teams demon.

I’d still like to find a corner. There’s some value remaining at corner, some at LB and yea you can maybe find some WR but as it gets further along it gets really difficult to find starting caliber o-line.  I like Averett as maybe a high end day 3 Target. OT Crosby I have a feeling goes very high in this round. I’m not sure we get a shot at him.

They need to draft BPA. If it’s at a position of need then great.

In the mid to late rounds you have to just acquire the most talented players on the board. That's how you build the best team. A 4th to 7th round pick isn't likely to come in and start so reaching for a need is useless. Just take the best players on the board at that point. That's how you build a deep roster. Hopefully one of the top 3 players on your board fit a need but you shouldn't reach at all at this point in the draft.

And if there are no wr better then what we currently have

i got no problem with Phillips cuz that guy has the talent to be a legit starter

dont take players just to take them

I agree, at this point it is better to go after a player who has a shot to help your team at any position regardless of need.
