Video of Harrison getting the call

Wish we could see the rest of the video.  Who was on the Bills side of the call?

Just got done watching 15 minutes of Harrison Phillips highlights. I already love him as a player!

For some reason, I also love that he wore #66 in college and will wear #99 for the Bills. Also that his nickname is Horrible Harry.

This dude and Trent Murphy -- The Stanford Destroyers -- together on the Bills d-line. Can't wait!

Funny we got Wyatt Teller later :) Should be good training camp battles!

I saw someone called him 'just average'

I'm sorry, when did any NT in a 3-4 get 100 tackles in a year?

That is insane production by a DT.

#PartyInTheBackfield is a thing at Stanford, and these two characters were often the catalyst. Absolutely thrilled with the Stanford + Bills connection. We may have to go to the pro-day again next year @Mark Vader

I'm a big football sports card box break guy... Here's a box break from Panini, Harrison Phillips shows up for an appearance and the guy next to him shows him his auto and gets all excited to see his card pulled, reading his stats then sits over there and starts opening packs, seems like a very down to earth dude. skip to 40:24 mark to see Harrison Phillips.

Kyle will work with him and coach him up. What he lacks in athleticism will be compensated for by heart and desire. I see him developing as a good player.

What you see represented with the drafting of players such as Harrison Phillips and the acquisition of Trent Murphy that a priority is placed on full effort players who are self-motivated not only when they play but when they prepare. From a talent standpoint Marcell Dareus towers over these two blue collar players. However, it's not surprising the big time talent with the jiggly body is gone. A McDermott player is not the type of player you worry about coming into camp out of shape or snoozing in the dark room while the game film is being reviewed. A culture is built by the type of people who inhabit the room.

Probably Beane I would think, I love how genuinely grateful and humble he seems. I don't expect they will have any Dareus type issues with this guy.

Can't believe how lucky we are to get him at the end of the 3rd. SO GEEKED!

Looking at your screenname made me remember how geeked I was when the Bills took Youboty in the 3rd round and Ko Simpson in the 4th. I thought we were going to have the best secondary in the league. Whoops.

NFL draft steals: Cowboys have some of most promising value picks

Harrison Phillips, DT, Bills (third round, No. 96): Consistent if not flashy, he is a reliable run stopper who should generate a consistent push. After Buffalo traded away its two second-round picks to move up for Josh Allen, coach Sean McDermott had to be thrilled the Stanford product was still available with the team's lone Day 2 selection. Phillips should instantly aid the 29th-ranked run defense as a reserve and eventually take over for Kyle Williams.

He's on with Murph and Tasker right now.

He is great.  The interview is a definite listen once archived.  An absolute stud.  Just a sample..

Q:  How do you know you are having a good game?

A:  I look at my LB's jersey in the 3rd quarter and if its clean and he has 8 tackles I am having a good game!

Q:  How will you judge success this year?

A:  We were 9-7 last year and finished second in the AFC-E.  On December 30th this year-- we are a success if we are winning the AFC-E.  (not individual right to the team)..

Love this kid.  #99 just got a huge upgrade,

With good reason.  Sounds like he's a better person than football player.
