I recall Marcel Dareus talking about making the Panthers and Broncos pay for passing on him. He didnt, but he did get paid...

And he got high, and he got high and he got high...

The weird thing is that in the months leading up to the draft, even up until the day before the draft, he said he would prefer to go later to the right team than go early. He was very vocal about this.

"I'm not your savior Cleveland".  "Please pick me NY".  "WHAT?!  I DIDN'T GET WHAT I WANTED AND SAM DARNOLD DID?!"

There's a way to say you're going to make teams regret passing on you and just sounding confident and motivated. There's also a way to do it and sound like you're pouting. He took the latter.

Bradley Chubb takes note.  Circles August 30th on the calendar.  Roquan Smith hears the quote and takes special note of September 23rd.

Chuck, man...this is just beautiful.

I think his personality was a big reason why he slipped

Hes heard the knocks on him and just couldn't wait to show the passion he has for the game.

I can already see that Denver game.  Rosen spends the preseason berating teammates and giving coaches sarcastic remarks.  His teammates think "what's with this kid?"  Some OT destined for the practice squad is half a beat late and suddenly there's nothing between Chubb and Rosen but wide open green grass.

His mouth is already going too far.

Our fan base (and media) would not have been a good fit

This is absolutely the only reason I didnt want him, personal politics and beliefs are irrelevant.

I read his comments from last night and they just don’t match what he was saying in the predraft process. I wonder how authentic he was being. May not matter on the field but strange reaction last night.,

....."slight" problem......if Chubb does his due diligence, September 23 never happens....just a thought..............

Chuck, are sure Chubb isn't going to be intimidated because Rosen is very, very, very smart?

The deets may be at issue, but I love the prose.

I thought he was the best overall prospect of the bunch,  but with some of the things Rosen says and does,  no,  I'm not upset at all that they picked Allen instead.

As I've said elsewhere, he seems to have some of the traits of a narcissist.

I would be more worried about a pass rusher being angry.  But for a QB, who needs to know how to read defenses and throw accurately, anger doesn’t seem like the right thing to motivate that.
