Mark92 Posted April 25, 2018 Posted April 25, 2018 Beane is going to smart with all this draft capital. I like it. Even if we miss on one of the top 4 QB's. 3 1 1

Patrick Duffy Posted April 25, 2018 Posted April 25, 2018 This is what I suspected. Have to find out who goes #1 before anything can be done. Browns seem to be keeping it tight lipped. 1
Buffalo_Stampede Posted April 25, 2018 Posted April 25, 2018 1st time I've heard him back away from trading up. 1
BringBackFergy Posted April 25, 2018 Posted April 25, 2018 Beane’s “I don’t know” answer was not in response to whether we are trading up, but rather, “How do you pronounce this reporter’s last name”. Honest mistake. 2
formerlyofCtown Posted April 25, 2018 Posted April 25, 2018 It sounds like they only like one guy at the price or they like 2 guys and if Clev takes one they move up or... At this point who the hell knows.

So it makes sense she puts this out there.
teef Posted April 25, 2018 Posted April 25, 2018 i think darnold going first is what sets off a wacky series of events. 1

BillsFan17 Posted April 25, 2018 Posted April 25, 2018 The Browns are being this tight lipped because I think they want to try and trade out. I mean, keeping what QB you want a seceret this long... I mean, they could be hoping the one they want falls to four, and assume the giants and Jets will pass, but maybe a team like Buffalo would trade up and take their guy? I mean, just doesnt make sense for the Browns to play games when they own the one and four.

LeGOATski Posted April 25, 2018 Posted April 25, 2018 What?! The first two responders are named Mark??

He's been saying he "likes his picks" and didn't necessarily move to 12 to trade up, since his interview at the Combine. Maybe before, at the Sr bowl, not sure. 2
NewEraBills Posted April 25, 2018 Posted April 25, 2018 The only thing that we can be sure of is the Browns are not sure who they want to take LOL. Generally, it's clear at this point who the team picking 1st is going to take. But the Browns have missed at QB so much they are probably scared to death and just really don't know. 2

I think there is some validity to them maybe still being unsure and scared...BUT, I think it is just as likely that the FO knows, and has not shared that with leaky mouthed Hue Jackson and that is why we don't know.
D. L. Hot-Flamethrower Posted April 25, 2018 Posted April 25, 2018 Just heard Andrew Brandt on NFL radio he said Browns know who they're taking, he doesn't know himself. He worked with these guys for 9 years in GB and says they know.
Low Positive Posted April 25, 2018 Posted April 25, 2018 I think that the Browns are not tipping their #1 pick like teams in the past have because they are in the unique situation of also having the #4 pick. That means that they need to play the game. 3
