  1. 1. If we get our QB at 12, do you take Calvin Ridley at 22

Let’s assume we have held our ground and the Bills select at 12,

Quarterback,

JoshBakerSamLamar RosenMayfieldDarnoldJackson.

(Doesn’t matter who...)

And C Rid is sitting there at 22.

Consensus #1 WR in the draft.

Do we take him?

i know here are more variables at play here (who’s left...etc).

Just putting out a name who none of us seem to be discussing.

If they take Ridley at 22, I would have no problem with it.

Smallish WRs drafted in round 1 don't seem like they've been working out well in recent years in the NFL.  I like the idea of a WR at 22, but the only WR I'd take there is Sutton and he's probably off the board before then anyway.

I generally think that a BPA approach to the draft is smarter. But, this year is different. First pick should be BQBA. I think the next four picks after that should be BPA among OL, LB, and WR. If that is Ridley at 22, then so be it. But, I suspect it won't be.

I would think that Billy Price, Isaiah Wynn, Roquan Smith, or Mike McGlinchey, would all be around Ridley's level on the Bill's draft board, and one or more could be available at 22. I could certainly see any one of them being considered before Ridley. I don't like the concerns that scouts have expressed regarding Ridley's durability, and I hope he's not Zay Jones 2.0. But, if he's the highest of those three positions at 22 (assuming we still have 22), then yeah, we should take him. But, I'm not in love with the idea.

Now that you say it, I'd have to say that'd be my best case scenario. I think Ridley is worth 12, let alone 22 and if you have a franchise QB that's great value there..
